I saw somewhere on here a while back (I think one of the previous updates), that somebody explained Mob.
Mob is short for Mobile. The techie programmer name of all npcs/monsters that PC's interact with... or, something like that.

On allakhazam, mob's are all non player characters. That includes npc's you talk to and shop from and monsters in fields you fight and kill.
