Guys understand that his drop rate os like 1/5 meaning its hard to get the robe from him. I'm currently 3/40 on this guy, yeah it's that bad...

I have been camping this Orc for the last week in hopes of nabbing a Robe for my lil taru WHM. It seems to only spawn when either I am about to log because of the 1.5 hr wait which is usually in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping. Not a long wait compared to other NMs, but thats what the Aderal is for. Or right when I go afk to take a leak to come back to see the Ashmaker in grey with its dead body lying on the ground with a miner on his way to the next point. I am currently 0/5 on the robe. I do however have hermit wands coming out of the whazzoo. If you are on Titan and would like a free hermit wand, send Rillo a tell and I'll send it to ya liggadee split. Peace out and happy hunting.

Yo! I really need to know if this NM is over camped or not, ive tried to hunt different NMs before that were overcamped and i couldnt get them. Im leveling my lv 23 rdm and am looking towards hunting this one cuz of the robe.

its not a very camped NM. most people don't know about it or if they do they don't know about its spawn info. read my guide on the bismark forums and then go camp it. trust me, the guide will help you.

i camped this once and seen it i was a lvl 30whm/blm with a high lvl drk/thief he would train gobs and kill them as i watched for the NM there was also another pair doing the same we were in a bit diffrent places, we were around the little rock and tehy were around teh big rock, turns out my friend had the places mixed up it spawned they killed and we never got it but we tried again and we got the mob but no drop
i posted a guide to camping this NM under the bismark server message board. feel free to use it. i can only give sale prices for the bismark server so they may be higher or lower on other servers. and i'm not sure how camped it is on other servers, but on bismark, its rarely got more than 3 people camping.

grr im 0/3 on this guy subbing thf.. i wanted to do something easy to make gil besides farm sauromogue champaign and all otehr NMs i dont have ne luck with.. guess this ones no dif. 1.25-1.5 hr pop time and i dont think he has PH cuz he spawned with 2 other orcs and a bat in the area.

this guy isn't so bad to camp. i camp him all the time, he is the only nm i will camp because he is undercamped. i am 3/11 on him i was at 1/9 then i got it twice in a row but was in a pt with a buddy so i split it with her. try try and try aagain i guess. i think its roughly a 1/5 or so drop. but bad luck is bad luck and there is no changing it. to get this guy to pop i simply log out after killing him, log back in after 1 hr, clear out the orcs in the cave section,and wait about 15-30 mins. good luck,

i'm on the bismark server and i camp this guy religiously. i've gotten the robe drop 2 times. i've camped him four about 3-4 months strait in order to farm enough money for a sniper ring. i've probably claimed him 400-500 times and i got the wand 99% of the time. its just luck of the draw on the robe drop.

What does it take to get this guy to appear?
Do you have to clear the small cave or the bigger besides it as well? Kill all or just the Orcs?
Camping as RDM26 now and when I'm about to clear the caves another mob pops...

He only spawns in the small cave so clear everything in there. I usually just clear the whole area while I wait for the mobs in the small cave to respawn.

I just started to mine around and i cleared room then an Orc grunt spawned i attked it then Ashblot casted poison on me :-D so i just did firega III and owned him. He only dropped Hermit Wand :-/

this ashmaker is really pissing me off big time i'm 0/6 with every time i kill him i get the hermit wands and they only sell for 1k on titan sever. do u have to have very good luck with u to get the drop or something. and how much does it go for.

=D Decided kinda on a whim i'd camp this NM again tonight. i'd recently got my whm to 36 and didn't
want to lvl it again. so i head up there with pickaxes and set in for a few hours.
While i was there, it spawned three times. the first time was almsot imediately after i got there. but i didn't get it, some JP did. i then kill a bunch of orcs back there, mine a bit, and start getting some serious lag [my network is gay.] so i /shutdown, and get back in asap. i log in, and ashmaker is literally sitting 5 feet from me, i quickly claim it and kill it :P get the hermits wand[5k] =D thinking alright, not the robe, but still decent.
kill orcs for a long time, read a book, hour half later, spawns again, :D go kill it, and i get the preist robe. =D definately a good night

Priest Robe = 1/2
Overall = 2/2

im now 0/10 on this drop, and im using MNK31/THF15.. whats the deal? i've seen a THF45 not get the drop for awhile as well.. >_<

Well me and my 2 friends were at lvl 30 one was drg i was war and other was rdm so were killing stuff for airpass and he spawns we get him kil him....WE GET THE DROP! so everyone lots i lot a 967 haha so i get it sell it for 50k on sylph server. 1/1 ^^

I was a RDM42/BLM21 and i killed and got the drop. So I it's just the luck of the draw. :)

killed him last night after about 1 hour 15mins of waiting. If you kill all the orcs and bats around that area, he will spawn along with another set of orcs. hermit wands sell for 5k..if someone will buy it...0/1 on him

I've noticed that the wands almost never sell, even for a dramatically-decreased price. Now I've got piles of the worthless things sitting around...

this guy is fairly easy for a well equipped MNK31/WAR15. I beat him really quick, but no Robe drop.. maybe i'll try again today to test my luck

Yes you can,im a lv 27rdm/13blm as well,was at about half hp and 3/4 MP,took him out with little problem,although he used manafount at 1/2 hp,and started spaming stonega and blizard,all causing aboud 30 points of damage each cast,but i was ok,u should be to.
I've killed this guy 4 time so far, still only getting Hermit wands. This guys rarely camped by more than 3 people, thats the most I've seen anyway (SERAPH).
Im a 30mnk/war so as a 23war/thf, you may have trouble, but you could prolly kill it if you use your twohour. ..but don't quote me on that...><
as for spawn rates, as others have said a little over an hour. Longest I've seen between pops was 90 minutes, but all other times its been 60-70minutes between sawns.

I camped this guy numerous times. I got robe the first time I camped him then only the wand there after, It takes about an hour and you have to kill all the place holders including bats. I have like 1 priest robe and 5 Hermit wands.. SO if u ever on the CaithSith Server look-up Crookyn, I am selling Wands 5k a piece. hehe..

respawn time is barely over an hour if you're not killing the placeholders as they spawn.

This nm is rarely camped and very easy to kill if you just kill the place holders on your way by he almost always spawns unless the miners have been killing them. I'm 1/4 on him with thf sub. got a wand everytime robe didn't drop :D

What is the respawn rate on this mob?
Everytime I camp this little SOAB either a high lvl takes him off me or i get nothing out of killing him. Wonder if I should sub thf?
