OK I FOUND IT!!! Theres a way to always get Beastman Blood, ive been testing this for hours and it always works, first go to the marsh where the Jolly Green Spawns at. When your there look around, if theres three leaches then kill them ALL!!! I tryed just one or two, but when all three are killed the last one WILL drop the blood, but you have to kill them all yourself, if your in a party or someone kills one then kiss it goodbye. Also dosent work if you dident let them all spawn or theres only two, another one is if 2 is on one side and 1 is on the other.....so theres many backfires but its well worth it when blood hunting, and yes its proven with my friends too, the score of doing it right is

he's right. he's actually right.

oh also when 1 one is on one side and there are two on the other. kill the lone one first and then kill the other two. i usually get it on the first of the two, but it works

does anyone know if they did something with the the leechers in valkurdunes area?
was pt in valkurmdunes today (by the oasis.. didnt dare to exp at the beatch anymore) and the pt next to us seem to aggro leeches time and again..
First i tought: stupid ppl dont they know those link like crasy, dont fight those.. then it happened again and this time i saw no provoking move towards the leech, didnt the first time ether btw. After whiping 3 times that pt left. Then another weird thing happened. A solo player, mighthave been from the surviving pt suddenly got aggro from one of them O.O.. it was so weird.
Anyone know whats going on?
Could they aggro after some time of standing still?
Anyone else experiensed this?

Dear Members

I want to know if a level 20 Ninja who is being pl'ed by a level 66 Pally has a chance at killing some of these for some easy xp chains.

I have killed all the other monsters in the Dunes and these are the only mob type that i have yet to attack here as the Pally kept saying no. (although the last time i asked if i should try it i was only level 15).

Thanks for your help in advance.

Having fought leeches all over Wadi, Ordelle's, Pashow, Dunes, Korroloka, Buburimu, and Quifim at least; 1. So far the only ones to drop beastman's blood were in Pashow. The rest drop fiend's blood to no end. 2. Carbuncle rubys have dropped in three zones for me Korroloka, Quifim, and Buburimu. 3. Leeches are non aggro as nearly as I can tell. 4. Leeches link like crazy. 5. Leeches have mp/tp/hp drainkiss and acid mist to lower attack.

Another vote for these guys not dropping Ruby in Valkurm - I was a 31THF and killed about 20 - got a few fiend bloods and beastmen seals but no ruby. I'm going to try Passhow for it.

Almost every leech in the game drops the Ruby. 20 kills is nothing compared to hours farming the ruby. Its an extremely rare drop, dont expect to get it quickly.

Not true. I got my Ruby in an exp party in Gustav Tunnel. Our puller decided to try a leech and it dropped.

And as far as killing twenty and giving up goes...I had a friend that killed leeches for six hours straight in Buburimu with no drop. He gave up, came back the next day, and got it after three hours. The drop is extremely rare- have patience.

I have to tell you that they do. I've gotten one there several times. Like most places, it's rare.
Twenty is a SMALL amount of kills for this item, more often than not.

Never gotten one in Passhow, and I used to farm their frequently.

Buburimu Peninsula is often agreed on as the best spot. There's where I've gone when I was helping others, as well as getting my own. They'll also go down a lot easier than the ones in Passhow.

Sometimes these little buggers can be quite stingy with their Beastmen Blood. I spent like 6 or 7 hrs farming them, along with crawlers and goobue, and came away with 1 full stack and 1 extra. O.O I was sub THF with Treasure Hunter as well! The afternoon before though I spent like 2 hrs farming them the same way and got over a stack and a half! Guess some nights they just haven't fed well enough. lol

Leeches are nasty for there level. They hit hard, and attack fast. They have TP/HP/MP draining abilities, and link like crazy.

They're not very fun for exp parties. But if they con as a too weak, they make excellent prey if your skilling up a weapon you have that is underleveled.

Just to give you an idea. I'm a level 37 paladin, the ones in Valkurm and Pashhow are chumps to me. They do one digit damage an I can kill them pretty fast for a paladin. As a whm, you might have trouble but I'm not sure. I'd say bring along some extra muscle just in case if you're going for your ruby. Faster killing means faster ruby anyways right?

These don't drop the ruby. Or, if they do, in the many hundreds that I've killed while farming, I've gotten none. I don't have the summoner job either. Qufim leeches on the other hand do drop it for sure, as I've helped others get it.
