My wife and I just killed a Giant Buffalo a few minutes ago, and got a jug of Uleguerand milk as a drop.

Over the past 4 days i've been farming for buffalo hides, i've calculated my approx exp per kill (40) too how much exp I have since I started killing them and came up with about 210 buffalo killed. I've gotten 16 Beastman seals, 9 kindred seals, 4 buffalo hides, 2 1/2 stacks of buffalo meat and a pair of cure clogs from Bonnacon! Killed Bonnacon 6 times and got one pair!
This was supposed to go under regular buffalo!

These are probably some of the easiest Decent Challenge mobs to solo that I've ever foughten. After one fight I was only down to 750hp, not too bad considering SAM isn't exactly the best soloer. Gave 61 limit points. Was /NIN with Evasion+30. If I was to buy some more Evasion gear, these would probably be considerably easier. Gonna try with another Evasion+10 and Evasion Skill+5 (AF Boots) sometime.

Is the drop rate on Giant Buffalo better than on the normal Buffalo. Or should i be waiting til i can solo the King Buffalo in hopes of getting hides to drop?

Fought last night trying to get buffalo hide to drop. Checked to me as a 68 paladin <tough> not a hard fight with 3 people . Also great skill up as well seemed like ever other hit was a .1 skill up.

Was frustrated to hear that there are no lower level Buffalo to kill. would be nice to be able to kill this fine roaming creature that's somewhere in the 40's or even lower. *sigh* oh well.

O.o the level range seems a bit out; 66-71 rather than 96-71 perhaps?
It's definitely 96, I killed one of these with my RDM and got 769 exp O.o.
Cast poison II on it and ran it around the zone for about 5 hours.
