Rasp is a bad idea, because its earth based and they're based on earth. I'd go with Shock and Frost.

An Aero II MB was doing 238 to these even though they are reported not weak to Wind. o.O

well you gotta remember, based on earth and earth's elemental weakness is wind.

so i suppose these COULD be weak to wind.

Think a Lv 51 Dark Knight with Lv 134 Great Sword could skillup here? Atleast for a while? =/

Possibly but you'd really really **** of any XP party that was there... Try finding something of similar level that ppl don't xp off of.

The threads don't drop nearly enough to make these worth farming in any way, if that's why you were thinking of using them for skills.

I know I'm replying to an old post.. this is mostly for others who may read it.

Ok, the reason the drop rate seems so bad on these is because, though you are in a party and so have a slightly better drop rate in general (unproven), you're only averaging 1/6 the drops of the whole party.

Another thing I've noticed. The initial damage Poison Breath deals you is related the amount of HP the Crawler has left, more HP, more initial damage. I don't think it affects the poison effect of the attack though.

apparently silk drop rates on these things are very bad...

i levelled for 2 hrs. in the nest and we only got about 3 silks...

but maybe i was just not noticing them being randomly given out to people and being in the treasure pool...

but meh..

also these are VERY quick to linking to their soldier crawler masters....

if there is ONE soldier crawler and ten worker crawlers following him... DO NOT get aggro by the soldier

the sldier will hit and IMMEDIATLY ALL of the workers will hit as if you just casted blizzaga II...

its scary

It is not fun in Crawler's Nest when these cute little guys link, they play follow the leader and are preety good at doing whatever the rumble or soldier crawler does, I myself did not move and died because unlike any other person Im not sellfish and zone so any unsuspecting person can die, all and all my first entrance to Crawler's Nest was fun and Horrifying.

On the subject of weird and crawlers...

Notice that crawlers are around Windurst, but their nest is nearest to Bastok?

And what, did crawlers from the nest hop an Airship over to Yuhtunga?

Actually, its a well known fact that back when, a dozen crawlers broke free from the tyrannical rule of the crawlers nest and actually built rafts and crossed the ocean, living on a meager diet of water and rolanberries. They fatefully arrived on the coast of sarabuta after 5 long days of drifting. Barely alive, tiny mandragoras came to their rescue and nursed the crawlers back to health.

True story.

aggro

In CN, Soldiers, Knights, Rumbles aggro, Workers don't. In Yuhtunga, Workers aggro and Soldiers do not. Weird.

Been running through CN all week. These don't aggro, just link if anything else is on you. Soldier Crawlers DO aggro, and hit hard.
