Vana'diel Bestiary: Fradubio  

Soloed this as a 75 NIN. Pretty fun fight, ******* took me down to yellow hp a couple times, but nothing the regen from my presidential hairpin and war shinobi gi couldnt take care of. He spawns these little sappling monsters about 25% into the fight, I was still able to damage the main monster while the little guys tried to hit me. Capped evasion merits proved too much for them. Hardest he hit me for was, 80-100. Pinecone bomb didnt do more then 200. Got the drop first kill ^^.

Also, I have tested the beserk theory with my whm/war, nothing special to report.

Drop sells for a cool 300k, 4th on server ^^;

Just defeated this nasty NM with 3 person PT. Mstrthief (70rdm/35blm) Bugsy (63nin/31war) and {me} Retileman (58rng/25thf). At first me and rdm tried to duo this guy.... not happening he ran out of Mp to fast and had to sleep it... as we rested its hp regen brought it back to full...
Therfore we have the ninja tank while the rdm and me nuked it then the rdm rested while me and ninja meleed. After 10 mins of fighting it is killed . I gain 9 exp and it drops a ebony log and a mahogony log.... Owell that had to be the hardest and most exciting fights i ever had! Next time that mantle is mine... Mwhahahahahaha

Today me,3 Linkshell buddy's (Vicktor,Bareviper,Bleakhope) and a 69 Thf (Cladien) Frien of Vicktor gathered and we heald up. We messed up these This darn tree. Seeing we had a THF we got the Bellicose Mantle, 2x Rosewood. Being me (Zemo) the unlucky "DeathTaru" i have little luck... we casted lots and i won everything, it was just my day. there is no stragy just fight it like you would a exp mob. Seemed Way too easy. we have (Vicktor) 74BLM/37WHM, (Bareviper) RNG 70+(i forgt he had anon on), (BleakHope) 63PLD/31WAR, (Cladien) 69THF/... , (Me "deathtaru" Zemo) 72BLM/36WHM. We Literally Owned this NM. Some AoE called leave cutter of somthing. The Mantle is up for sale for a little oer 400K. last one sold for 400k. Seems Like This NM has a really bad Drop rate as i looked at the Price History. this is all on the Unicorn Server. I think this mob is around level 48-55 at the most. i didnt get resisted at all, Aero IV 738 DMG,Firaga III 1186 So it was Pretty easy for all of us. Thanks for reading my pot^_^

Sry for the double post, but yeah i soloed it as 75rdm/nin. The mantle goes for 300k, and the log about 15k.

Went out to seek the other treant but found this guy instead...

I got off my choco ready to fight as /NIN sub but... uhh I forgot to bring shihei. lol ^_^

But I fought it anyway, fought like 1/4th-1/5th of the way normally, till it really started to hit me. lol Then I decided to just Focus and 2hr it. That finished it off with like... 500~ HP left on me(1550~ total). Spammed Asuran several times. I got 23 experience, but no drops. ;)

Dreussa (sapling) popped too at half life, but ehhh sleep doesn't bother you much if your fighting alone like me anyway.

It was fun, but i wish i brought my shihei lol ;;

Its lvl 70

was camping Fradubio's little sis last night and spawned this HIM instead. seeing as how I'm only a RDM54/RNG10 I began asking my LS members and some high lvl PCs on my friendlist for assistance... nobody was up for the challenge. so, I simply /searched jugner (as a last resort) and found a THF72/NIN36 who was more than willing to help K.O. this NM (thanks again Slick on Bismark ^^)

after buffing we dove right in. I had read that he has a nasty auto-regen, so I kept dia II and poison II up the entire fight. he didn't resist many of my enfeebs, so the fight wasn't too bad... until he spawned that annoying little sapling friend. I kept the tiny bugger sleeping (its name started with a "d", but I don't remember it exactly) for most the fight, but it eventually awoke without my knowing and started beating me up. without stoneskin up, my attempts at sleeping him again were interrupted and I ended up biting the dust right before my companion slew the giant tree (he was left in the yellow HPs).

we got the mantle alone and I'm not sure whether the THF obtained any exp 'cause I was laying face down in the mud. all-in-all the battle was really fun and I was far from delvling, so it was worth it ^^

p.s. about an hour later the other tree spawned (Fraelissa? don't remember spelling ><) and I wasted her without a hitch. no drop, but another fun fight!

i have killed fraelissa like 6 times yesterday and got 4/6 bows and alot of good logs worth 9k each.

now does this guy pop in her place every 22hr or what im kinda confused. does anyone have a spawn pos of him????

I wonder about this notorious monster. I was lvling BST in Jugner when i came across him. Threw a beetle at him which he killed in 1 hit and he followed me for a sec but didnt ever catch me and then stopped following. Anyway i wanted to kill him so i switch to my brd/nin in town and choco back. He was still there unclaimed so i figured why not. I was doin fine, he got to about half health and dedusa popped on top of me which i didnt know was going to happen at the time. Freaked out. lost blink. eventually i died. Soooo, now i go back with my ranger friend and we take him again. This time i left the ranger deal with the dedusas and i focused on the tree. No problem dropped the bellicose mantle. I wonder if it can be crafted to not suck. I also wonder if he drops something better that he just hasnt dropped yet. Because that is one sucky drop for such a hard notorious monster.

Here's the story (interesting to say the least)... One of my LS buddies was around Jugner Forest one day and told us about Fraelissa on widescan, he wans't sure about it's level so i thought i'd come out and lend a hand it things got tough, when i zoned into Jugner he was around yellow health but was able to take it down, dropped ebony log and the Almogavar Bow. He then picked up Meteormaular Zhagtegg on WS and Flee'd over and got him, no drop.

After i'd say 5 minutes i guess he found Fradubio on widescan, so we rushed over and there he was unclaimed. Un-sure about it's level or strength we decided to sleep it while we called for our friend in the LS to give a hand. It seemed to sleep just if things got hairy, sleeping is where it's at. As she arrived we recived the buffs and enfeebled it some and went on to attack it as 75WHM/37RDM, BLM75/37WHM, and 56THF/RNG. Fradubio no doubt has a lot of HP when it hit me from all the built up hate from sleeping it seemed to drop my stoneskin in 3 hits, hit for around on average for 65ish. Our WHM had to tank it but had to put up stoneskin and blink more often - good thing she had a hi-ether belt, she said she almost used all of it up. Had some leaf AoE and Drill Branch... Pinecone bomb - seems Drill Branch really hurts espcially ones that might be in back of the one that has hate (our THF got damaged as well being bhind our WHM). About halfway through it's health it started "having babies" literally a small sprout called Dessu came out and started attacking us, which i slept when i finally saw it. Kept on continuing our current battle method and whiling i was helping cure to help WHM save MP, and it sprouted 2 more babies, which were also slept. I'd say this whole fight took just a little over 10 mins and we finally finished it, upon defeating the Dessu's were do defeated so we didn't have to mess with them. Dropped a Mahgony Log and the Bellicose Mantle a nice Attack +6 for mages.

All in all it's a fun fight, but i sure wouldn't want to fight it alone, like i said it can be slept so i'm guessing nuke > sleep > nuke > sleep wouldn't be a problem unless it spits out some babies. Awesome new NM though =)
