finished helping a friend with 2-3 dragon and one of the people with us asked if i wanted to come and camp it with him. me and my friend went, the ??? was there waiting for us. leader traded the fresh blood and popped him. wasnt very hard at all, i could have easily solo'd this dude (blm40). dropped the gassan and let my other friend since he is lvling nin for rdm/nin.
we decided to take another go at it so we headed over to south gustaberg and went to vomp hill and make the biggest damn train of sheeps, got another blood. ^_^
went back to dangruf and sat and waited for the ??? to pop again. we waited about a whole hour until we got bored and made small gob trains and ran across the ??? in a different area. so that confirms that it DOES pop in different places.
traded the blood again and owned his *** again. dropped another gassan, i got it since i was going to be lvling nin soon for thf >.>
great weapon, can't wait to use it =)

i fought this guy 3 times for me and 2 friends then i went to go fight it by myself and as u know u need to have fresh blood so i went to get it and there it was Cenero (the NM sheep that drops weapon for Samurai) killed it and got the drop so i got 2 NM drops 2day so i was pretty happy :D

Just beat this guy as a BLM52/WHM25. Found the ??? at J-6. Very easy at my lvl, used my scyth and didn't cast any spells, still had 3/4 HP when he died. Got the Gassan. I love rare/ex drops
I can't seem to find the ???. I have checkeck all around the F9 and E10 areas and still no luck...

Hey peeps, the wep. it drops is a reg. LV15 katana, not great katana and its NIN only and adds +1 agi. also the chocobo leech looks like any other leech out there. wasn't hard at all really.
makes u wonder how that small thing carries a GK thats like 4 times bugger then it lol
It's a Katana, not a GKT. But yes, it is bigger than it is. =P
Size is relative, to the user. A item on a taru is like 1/5 of the size as the same item on galka, so the katana is probably the size of a toothpick until someone picks it up =P

Carnero in South Gustaberg, on Vomp Hill, 2nd level.
You will run into him if you hunt sheep for the fresh blood.

This was a fun NM. The ??? spawns randomly between 3 locations. These locations are filled with Leeches so be careful of links ;)

That it is Rare/Ex is a good thing. The NM is not at all heavily camped, and those who do camp it are prospective Ninja looking to hone thier edge over the competition.
And you just KNOW that gilsellers would be camping this and selling it for hundreds of thousands of gil if they could.

Ran around Wadi for a bit before I found the ???. I actually ran through everywhere once, and then I found it at E/F-9 (not sure of exact spot, but in that "room"). I don't know if the spawn of the ??? is time based (only appears at certain times in the game), or perhaps moves when you pop it, or is timed after someone spawns it. In any case, it was 21:00 when I saw it (ingame). I popped it and it had an Enwater effect. As a 62rng it's hard to say what level it was, pretty darn weak for me, even with the Summerfest gear on. Got the Gassan.

An LS member of mine got a screen shot, we both killed it, though at different times. As with all leeches it does link and appears to be a tad larger than the others.

This is spawned by trading "Fresh Blood"(dropped from Ornery Sheep) to a ??? in Dangruf Wadi. The katana, Gassan is 100% drop. Can be soloed by Lv.35+ job.
