I wouldnt recommend /blu for this. At first it seemed like a good idea. But the stun from Head Butt only lands maybe 1/5th of the time. So the thing would never die.

Im just waiting til the next new moon, ***** this rabbit.

Solo'ed as 75 NIN/DRK. Melee normally down to 20-30%, and then attempt to stun subsequent Carrot TP moves. Usually worked without a hitch, decent haste build on NIN can get stun recast down to a minimal amount, along with natural Subtle Blow traits from NIN usually minimizes the NM's TP-move spam, even at low percentages. Drop on the third fight.

White Coney will only use wild carrot, that's the only tp move it has and it will spam it the instant it gets 100 tp. Go 75 RNG/NIN or THF/NIN and plug it with sleep bolts till you have 100 tp, then WS and repeat. Despite being higher level it's actually an easier mob because it doesn't use offensive TP moves, it only heals itself.

My BLM75 Friend Pikamika, Soled this for me:

Shadowbind > Thunder IV > Sleep II > Rest ----- Repeat -----

Keep Shadowbind incase it wakes up earlier so u can just bind it to gain extra MP whilst the BLM rests up. Make sure your fast with Sleep, otherwise it will spam Wild Carrot, which will be a VERY big pain.

Create this Macro:

/item "San d'Or. Carrot" <t>

Keep ToD (Time of Death) so u dont wast endless minutes on looking for the "Rabbits Footprint"

The Footprint will re-spawn every 15 mins. It moves every 3-4 seconds so u gotta be fast, hence the creating a trade macro (See Above)

I went 1/4 on this wiped on the 3rd because it just kept Spamming Wild Carrot and we just couldnt keep up.

Take Care, Hope it helps

Too easy

Killed this ******* with a 75war(me) and 75nin. Took awhile but with a SC going it went down easy.
The less melee the better...

Overall, I was 3/17 doing this, lost lot the first time, got the bow the second time, and stuck around for one more kill for a friend. If course it dropped back to back.
The White Coney has a TP move that recovers like 3500HP, The Black Coney has a TP damage move, whether it be the AoE or the One-target. Fighting White with too many melee is a mistake, it'll keep spamming Wild Carrot with constant TP fed and never die.

Just a word of advice...

Went on a run, got super lucky @_@

Had a 75 BLM pretty much solo it, doing thunder IV > stun > sleep > sleep II > rest, with another ranger and I throwing in a sleep bolt here and there.

Killed two coneys, got two bows @_@ We were so shocked, especially since our first run was something like 0/12 So, whether it makes a difference, blm killed it both times. Also, no TH on the first kill, but we had TH2 on the second one.

So, goodluck to all those rangers out there that need this. :)
White Coney drop rate
# Sep 12 2005 at 10:42 PM Rating: Decent
O.K. Done 2 runs on White coney . Here is the drops rate we had .

So far I am 4/27 with LS on bow killing the White Coney .

Run 1: 9/14 Claims - 1/9 drop
1/4
0/5

Run 2: 18/19 claims - 3/18 drop
1/13
1/2
1/2
0/1

Drop is real random for this bow . I have yet to try the black coney but I think drop rate is about the same from what I've been told . 4 RNGs sleep bolting and timing Weapon skills to go off just before a sleep bolt lands , makes short work of the white coney .

ok hte rumopr is the Rnger who wants this bow, spawns it, hits it first, then should kill it. that makes the drop rate better, if luts say a Blm ju runs up and quakes it your not gonna get teh drop. just a bit of data i collected i cant concerm it but it wil give you some idea for droprates

deffinately not true . We had a group of 4 RNGs the other day camping this . We spawned it 18 times and got 3 bows . Ranger always got 1st hit and last hit regardless . Drop is real random .

This statement is compleatly not true, Me and 4 of my lS Members (73MNK,74BLM,74THF,73RNG(me),72RNG) Tried many of times we found our success rate to be 2/13. On more than half of them I would spawn it, hit it first and finish it off with a Light skill chain. From the three bow runs I have gone on the Drop rate seems compleatly random. PS. It doesnt spawn durning New Moon it spawns during Full Moon, The black Coney spawns during New moon which is much easier to kill because it is more offensive than spamming healing 1K~1.5K HP

I tried this guy today, and sadly, as weak as he is, a 75 SMN cannot solo it.

I could've kited it for hours though, but Wild Carrot just replenishes more HP than Carbuncle can do. and the L.70 pacts don't do enough damage fast enough.

However the other rabbits around won't link to him, so kiting him is completely safe as long as you keep on Sneak and avoid the few bombs.

There are bombs (er, Snolls I guess, same thing >.>) somewhat hear the spawn point, Morozkos to be exact, if you fight him right at the spawn spot, there's no danger, but if you plan to kite him, you could very easily pass one.

ok i did this yesterday with a 75 nin and 75 rdm i was playing as whm which is 47. The nin (morrissey) pulled to the edge and disengaged and just voked. While the rdm (sharde) hit it with bioII and choke and poisen and anything else that would slowly lower its health. He also nuked a little. With this set up the poisens did most of the work and it did its wild carrot like 1 or 2 times. It took us about 15 min to kill it. Did it 2 times no drop :(
Killed White coney 8/21
# Aug 22 2005 at 6:08 AM Rating: Decent
Ok I killed White coney Yesterday morning . I attempted to solo using sleep bolts but got no where after an hour of fighting . Problem with soloing is if you miss 1 bolt it uses a move that recovers 1k+ HP , while sleep bolts and obow combo only does 50-70 DMG max per hit . Luckily a JP RNG was there camping also and we teamed up , and killed it . 2 RNGs with sleep bolts own this fast .

We got bow on 4th kill and I managed to win lot on Bow . We killed 5 more times and not another dropped for us but a JP PT killed one while we were there and they got drop on thier 1st kill . Drop rate on bow seems random , but hard to say .

White coney is spawned on full moon only and uses the HP recovery move that recovers over 1k hp . The black coney is spawned on New moon and uses an AoE move that it spams . They are both spawned using Sandy carrots by trading to the rabbit foot prints . Spawn time is exactly 15 minutes from ToD for the foot prints and move around sporatically . People say it moves every 5 seconds but it was moving at intervals of 2-10 seconds randomly to random spots anywhere in K-11.

Some RNG friends want the bow so we are going to try the black coney on next new moon with same strat as white coney using sleep bolts . Hopeful it isn't dark based and resists sleep .
