what a disappointment. i easily solo'd this guy (as 52mnk/war) several times (somewhere around 15 times) while hunting for my rse sash. his best fight, i think he almost had me down to 1/2 health. used my 2 hour the first because i read wait til 55 to solo him. obviously after that try, i cried at wasting it, because he wasnt even up to the status of being a joke while using focus/100 fists...lol...if anything, i wanted to cry at wasting my 2 hour

ok i just took this thing on in the maze at J-6 as rng45/red22 and shadowbind wore off b4 it was even bound!!! :/ i cast paralyze it takes i cast bind it sticks i back up and see im alrdy half dead and it don't have a scarch on it :[

after wards i was like oppps stupid me i didn't gather tp first i think i was pressured by the fact that the RSE week is almost over.but even if i opened with it i don't think i woulda killed it, SHADOWBIND FAILS ME!!!on NMs. bind... anouther reason rng/red PWNS YOU!!!

Ok I'd like to comment on those high lvl ppl especially the 53 THF that said it took them up to 10 min to kill this thing WTF (/huh) I was 50 THF mithy when i accidently popped this thing and I used 13 Bloody Bolts and one cyclone and it droped to the ground fight took me all of about 3 1/2 min these NM's are Too Weak.
I Guess maybe I'm a better THF, Idk. also I seen a 68 THF one shot these NM's

Found the ??? at I-8 on the Attohwa Chasm map, popped it as a 53 THF. Fight took around 5-10 minutes. The Crawler has HORRIBLE ACC and does hit pretty hard, nailed for 60-80 and 120 on a crit. Due to it's bad ACC shadows are easy to maintain, capped marksmanship + bloody bolts = win. XD 20-25 XP each kill, i'm 0/3 on the Aroma mobs.

I hunted this NM today for only two hours and went 1/4 with my BLM62/WHM31. First fight I found the NM to be pretty tough, he messed me up a little, but I killed him with no drop. By the third fight, I had an "Impossible To Guage" strategy;
1) Bind
2) Blind
3) Elemental Seal > Paralyze
4) Slow
5) FireIII
6) AeroIII
7) WaterIII
8) Bind
9) FireIII
10) BlizzardII
11) Attacked with an Earth Staff for the Damage Taken -20% and killed him in a couple blows. Got drop fourth kill! Yay! =P

Here's some more useful info:
He has En-slow (procced on me about once every 10 hits), spams poison breath, and has roughly 6000 hp. His accuracy was crap. I also got 24 XP off of him at 53, which suggets to me that his level is closer to 45 than 40. He was hitting me for around 30 damage with a delay of roughly 200-250.
I soloed him 4 times as a level 53 monk/thief today, did him over with my RSE run fledgelings (30s and low 40s) 3 times, and got the drop twice. Based on my solo, unless things go pear-shaped you should be able to do him over at around 48-50 without help and duo him at around 45. 3 of the solo fights he got me to around 800 of my 1100 HP, the last one he stuck poison after my chakra and then immediately cocooned, then slowed me >< that had me down to 380HP, and NOT happy.
Spawn time is confirmed at exactly 30 minutes (I NM hunt with a stopwatch,lol), and at the three points already mentioned.

My Hume Male buddy got his sachet an hour before in Gusgen (1/7 -- last try with TH1 it dropped)...so we decided to go to Shakrami and hang out...him watching for Argus (there was a cloud of anon DRKs watching too), me watching for Aroma Crawler...but partied to keep company and cheer for each other.
I got all 3 pops in the first 2 hours of fem hume week, dropped on third try.
I'm a 66RDM/25THF at this time...no clue if TH helped...but /THF sure helped out later
Aroma Crawler hit me for about 20 a swipe...with Protect IV on, so Stoneskin on and he never managed to break it. I used Ice Spikes though...so he only managed to hit me 1/3 of the time.
A buddy of mine who needed Moldavite Earring saw Profblix and freaked out...Profblix killed him, and my other buddy and I had to hoof it to Labyrinth of Onzozo to grab him before anyone noticed he was up. Flee came in handy...and Moldavite dropped for him (he went as a 71THF though he is also a 64 or 65 BLM) after he got Raised. ^^

I decided to check the RSE day when I got up this evening to check to see if I could try to get mine for BLM. With my luck it was Male Taru day :D
I ran down to the maze to my suprise it wasnt that full. Just a few people running by for Taimat on the Chasm.
My mistake was to check the two far spots first then back to the zone spot.. when I started running back from the 2 locations and got to the third I saw the ??? and just before I could touch it a BLM uninvised and got it lol..
Yea I /cry'd but oh well, I stayed for the next pop. I ran around looking for it again and to my suprise it poped in the same spot. I touch it, and NM pops. Easy fight for me, RDM75 subbing WHM using Joyeuse, not hard lol.. fight lasted about 1-2 minutes.
My first time killing this and camping it and I got drop :D

Ok well I see its Hume week and missing 2 of my RSE I try to go get it. After getting the chest I realize "Hey they added new RSE NM's" so I go look up its THREE spawn points. I got the claim on it 3 times.....No drop and Im a 60 thf (was 56 thf atm) I killed it with my 41 RDM friend. I was so mad I didnt get it three times >< It looks like a VERY good Item for DRK. ^^ Good luck with it xD> Hope ya have better luck than me and my fialed TH2 ; ;

It can spawn in any of the 3 spots on each spawn. My boyfriend just tried to get this mob a few times yesterday. It spawned every 30 min and each time it would spawn in a different spot. You may want to have a team of 3 people on this to make it easier. Good luck.

i'm now 0/19 for drop with the aroma bugs. i hate them...that drop rate is freaking absurd, for what the item is. if this is your first time goign after him, heed everyone's advice. he seems to have a wide lvl range when he pops; i've totally owned him and then almost died next spawn. food up and don't take him for a joke. good luck! btw, 57drk on carbuncle GeekNirvana LS

There are three NMs you can fight, one for each RSE zone.
Killing them may give an RSE satchet, specific to whichever race's week it is. The stachets are all race and sex-specific, with the exception of the TaruTaru satchet (it can be used for both male and female and will drop in both weeks).
Stats on the Satchets:
Taru: INT+2
Elvaan: STR+2
Galka : VIT+2
Hume: STR+1 INT+1
Mithra: DEX+1 AGI+1
All are Level 30, All Jobs
Damage 10, Delay 999, Rare/Exclusive.
Here are known locations for these ???'s

F-5 on the first map, near Attohwa Chasm zone

got satchet, it pops only in Shakrim, drops a satchet for whoever's Race week it is. repops every 30 minutes.

I just ran into another Aromo NM, I was in the Oredlles caves doing the RSE and just like the crawler I clicked on a ??? and a text box appers saying, (an evil precence fills the air) then the Aroma Leech appered. I died cause I was at 25% hp but i don't think I would have died if I was at full. Evewn if I'm lv 37 the NM was attacking for mid 40 to 60 points of dmg. Anyway I had heard there are other NM like this the other being a fly (aroma Fly) I hope more inof comes out for these mobs.
My, li'l Taru buddy Ska just fought this thing during his RSE window by the <Attohwa Chasm> zone, F-5, in the <Maze of Shakhrami>.
He killed it with his 61 Blm, piece of cake. The crawler was only hitting him for around 30-45, but missed most of the time and was paralyzed a bunch too. We added it up, and Ska did a total of 3167, but the last hit was <Earth Crusher> for 499, so anywhere from:
2668 to 3167 hp. Probably 3000.
No drop :-( No exp <Too Weak>
The ???s disappeared when he spawned it, and haven't come back in about 30 minutes. Not sure if this is the only spawn point, but if anyone know of any others, or the spawn time, let us know. Hope this helps.

I have a very bad habit of clickin on any random ??? I may come across. Did it again. Found the Aroma Crawler and did indeed get a Civet Sachet. Lvl 30, Dmg 10, Delay 999, Dex +1, Agi +1. Almost chucked it straight away. >_<

Yeah, this is a monster that pops from a ??? while you are in your RSE area, when it's your week. An Aroma mob will spawn, and I think it's soloable around 60ish. It has a horrid drop rate, but yes, it drops RSE Sachets I guess they're called... Each one increases the Race's main stats, and I think Elvaan has +2 STR. Would be nice for me DRK, but I'm too low lvl. -.-
Playing as best as I can since a while ago.

What does this thing drop?? because it cant be just Earth Crystal and Silk Thread.. -.-

i have read on another web site that this drops a rare/ex ammo item thats RS not sure if true but if so im getting it taru tarus gives +2 int ^^
