I've tried to find out as much as I could concerning Apkallus. The mystery really boggled my mind.

in other news, what a silly idea it is for SE to have enough memory to save each character shate from 3 different mob races, but not have enough to add more gear spaces... doesnt that jsut seem reatrded?

I believe you have no idea what you are talking about. SE won't/can't add new inventory spaces because the PS2 only has enough memory to load 80 items at a time.
The amount of fomor, tonberry, and apkallu hate you has nothing to do with memory. I don't know if its kept on your own hard drive or on SE's servers, but the hate info uses disk space, not memory.
These con Incredibly Tough to lvl 75, they waddle very slowly so if something goes wrong you can get away from them quickly; Bring a WHM or /whm to counter Yawn and Frigid Shuffle; keep the tank's back to a wall to counter the knockback move.
The downside? These guys have Fomor-like hate. Kill enough of them, they aggro. This hinders easy access to the reef from Caedarva Mire, and the staging point inside the reef is guarded by Imps, so doing anything in here will become difficult for you. In addition it would take forever to get to the campsite, and although there are plenty of mobs to sustain 2 parties, it would be hard to compete with the long chains possible at other camps.

Anyone know what it would take to erase Apkallu hate? I've heard it has something to do with the NPC Apkallus running around near the regular ones, but I don't remember what you need to give them. I haven't been slaughtering mass quantities of these things yet, but I have killed a few, and I'd like to know in advance what I will need to do to get this parrots to leave me alone. ^^
From what I've read its some kind of fish you need to trade them, but is it any kind of fish? or a certain type? (if this is the case please someone post ^^)
