Solo'd a few of these in Arrapago Reef as 75 NIN/DNC. Strategy was pulling away a Palace Guard at a time. The COR ones were easy as hell but the RNG were kinda annoying since they take shadows much faster with ranged attacks.. but with full eva gear and /DNC it's not a prob.
I did this after the patch last night, meaning the gaurds were in place (Halvung).
The guards were resistant to almost ever magic we threw at them, but we found a way to kill the mirror fine. Myself (73 rdm/blm) and 4 other blms found that if I I pulled the guards to the zone, they could throw everything they had at the mirror. I continually zoned and rezoned to keep the guards near the zone and away from the mirror.
In the end we killed the mirror, and got one of the guards to around 40% hp. The guards will come together almost reguardless of how you pull, so be prepared to handle them some how.

I heard that this is also supposed to slow the rate at which the respective army grows for besieged.
actually i believe its supposed to increase it, so stop breaking them
I destroyed one of these in Halvung last night. The 'frame' and mirror don't attack back so all you need to worry about is possible links or aggro from nearby enemies. When destroyed it'll yield and Archiac Mirror (the mirror itself inside the frame you see) you can then trade that mirror to a gate guard for 200 Imperial Standing. The mirror it seems to me is a 100% drop, but i've only killed two of them (2/2), but it would make sense that it is 100% drop.
