During Besieged the other day, I made my way to the parade grounds and started meleeing this in hopes of raising my staff skill. Well, that's a really bad idea. His AoE, as others have said, has a massive range and, given his level, does a lot more damage.

After a few close calls I decided to step back and do my job as BLM. Knowing that scorpions are weak to ice, I cast Blizzard IV on it. I was shocked to see that it RECOVERED 1000hp when I cast. I scrolled back in my log and saw that my staff was having similar problems- my weak little hits were doing 10-12, but the additional effect ( using Jupiter's Staff, so lightning elemental damage ) was giving him 25-30hp back. So, more or less, there was no reason for me to even try to fight this. I suppose I could have poked him repeatedly with my dagger for 0, but I have better things to do with my time. I left and found something else to whack.

Has anyone else noticed this? The troll NM Varpurlur the Whatever ( can't remember ) is the exact same way. Hit him with Thunder IV and he recovered 1100. I felt like a moron, lol.

A week ago he stuck around in Al Zhabi with his baby mobs for a few minutes after Besieged was over. It was fairly amusing, watching it run around while people tried to figure out what the hell it was still doing here after besiged was over.

A few humorous shouts rang out and people converged on it, and it disappeared probably no more than 3 or 4 minutes later. Still a funny glitch.

This thing is THE most powerful scorp besides King Vinegaroon; has around 3-4 times the amount of HP that Serket has, an amazingly high DEF and ATK along with his AoE moves hitting for a very large radius.
