Just soloed as 75DRG/37WHM. Its very easy once you get the hang of it. The first time I fought him, he brought me down to 90 HP and I just killed him. Blood weapon is killer. The second time, I was smarter. Got 200 TP, put up blink and stoneskin. As soon as he blood weapon, used super jump. He couldnt hit my Wyvern for crap, so I let my Wyvern beat on him for a bit (an earth ele also spawned, and I wasnt sure if it would aggro so I couldnt cast dia) eventually it died and no drop. The last time, I did the same thing, made sure to super jump, let my Wyvern beat it as I cast dia a few times to get my HP back then turned back and killed it. 1/3. Not too hard. It might've been a LOT easier if I brought my SH, but I was using an assault jerkin. It does have horrible accuracy, so Scorpian Harness might work very well. Good luck to all, and know a 75DRG/37WHM can solo this without any help.
Feeling bored the other night and having an LS with someone who gets bored easily as well I decided to get him to {Help me out!} with trying to get the drop from this gob. Bought a drink for 6k I think off the AH and proceeded to take the airship out to Bastok then choco over to the Oldton zone in North Gustaberg. Walk in, run a little ways to the first pop spot and find the writing there but my friend is still en route.
Meh, kill some of the different things I see and build up 300% TP for Spirits Within seeing as I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to hit him as a PLD63/WAR31. Friend arrives as NIN70/WAR35 and builds up some TP as well while I finish off a freshly popped lightning elemental I had hit before he zoned in. Rest to full MP after Cure III then he throws shadows up with Ichi first I believe. Pop the gob and we both use our respective WS to take out about 20% of his HP. Not a great deal of accuracy on this guy trying to hit my friend, I think he had to put shadows up two more times after popping it.
He tells me that he wants me to counter Blood Weapon with Invincible so I'm all for it until the gob finally does @15% HP or so. I'm about ready to hit my macro for it when the NIN uses another ws to take him down to 5-7% roughly and I'm pretty much screw it at this point. Flashed the gob when the shadows went down that time and just killed it from there after a few more hits. A little bit of lag so at first I thought no drop yet a few seconds after he sat down and faded away I see Parade Gorget drop. I thank my friend for the help and cast lots on it for a grand 97 or something and we both laugh.
He probably could've soloed it as NIN70/WAR35 however it's more of a luck of the draw thing when it comes to Blood Weapon being used. He didn't use it very early so not sure about how other experiences have gone however the fact that I was able to take off about 20% myself in the three minutes or so it took to kill the gob I'm not too sure how a solo-experience would've gone for him. Looking at the time it's been since I could've used the gorget I regret not trying to get help for it earlier. It makes campaign battles, besieged, farming, and soloing a bit easier even if it's only active @85-100% HP from what I've tested.
Next up on the list of things to either camp for or buy: Hercules's Ring. >.>

this guy wasnt so bad for me. he didnt do his 2hr on both times i fought him. his accuracy sux donkey which allowed me to recast SS. he does have alot of health tho. 1/2 lucky me ^^
I was mining in Oldton when I got a tell from the only other person there, a level 60 Paladin.
He's looking for help with this guy, and isn't really sure how he ques goes. I look it up and we set off for the scrawled writing.
The fight:
60 pld/30 Thf 59 Rng/29 Thf (me)
That's it. Paladin summons his NPC which is set to cure, buff up, and paladin fights some nearby bats for TP. I'm at 200%.
Paladin pops the Wolfman, gaining enough hate that my Sidewinder didn't pull hate, but hit for 350ish. Followed ith Barrage and another Sidewinder and I pull hate. The paladin was in the yellow-orange area when I did this, he flashes and cures himself getting hate back.
I switch to bloody bolts and get some hp back, but now the Paladin is getting hit hard. He tries to cure but the Wolfman stuns him with Frying Pan or whatever. I'm spamming arrows, Throw off another sidewinder.
Paladins in the red, uses invincible with Wolfman at 1/5 hp. He uses an mp refresh drink, cures himself, I get off another Sidewinder, and we win.
Camped the Scrawled Writing points for Coralee since she was the only one who needed it. 1st NM pop no drop. 2nd dropped. It was a very easy fight as we had 4 people O.o.
Don't remember too much about the fight as it was over so dang quick. I nuked and THF did the usual massive dmg THF stuff. I think the WHM used Holy. A quick and fun NM though for those who need it. 2MP tick MP refresh on PLD is nice. Good luck!
Very easy mob to hunt down. Old Movalpolos...there are three spawning points for the "Scrawled writing". And it re-spawns every 15 min. Unfortunately the 5k Goblin drink is the necessay spawn item. >.< so at 5 attemps it cost me 25k.
Popped wolfman, then Flash...Bash...Rampart. Cure...yagudo drink....and defender. Then cure as needed until he uses DRK 2hr= "blood weapon". NOW use Sentinel!! This negated a VERY large amount of damage and i finished him off with little trouble. Called my npc for a couple of the battles just to have someone to SC with. :)
Easy fight as 75NIN though, Wolfman has horrible accuracy.

Soloed this easily for a few friends as 65 THF/NIN. Blind bolts would probably help but I usually don't stay supplied with those, even without blind he only got 1-3 hits in, bloody bolt to full and you're set. Sleep bolts could also make this fight a little easier if you are good at pulling off SA+WS. My personal drop rate is about 6/10~, not all solo but I've done 3 solo. GL
2/2 on this guy. First one was at the first spawn point you come to at I-9. This guy is a joke for a 75 pld. He never did more then 60 damage the whole time and i wasn't even buffed at all. As i was leaving here i ran past the 3rd point and sure enough poped him again and this time there was a Bugbear Servingman that linked with him. I think by the time i killed the Goblin Wolfman i was maybe 50% hp if even then turned around and owned the Bugbear. Easy fight both times and never really had any trouble. Parade Gorget dropped both times.
This guy can be soloed as a 66 pld/nin easily without two-houring at all. I kept my shield, because blocking hits when trying to get utsu up is sexy. I had a herc ring, so kept my health around half or lower so I could get my sexy extra mp/tic, and used food (taco) the first time and one juice, didn't use any juice the second time and no food (was just more careful with my mp and keeping my HP low). I used sentinel near the end mainly cause I was bored, and made sure to flash him the moment he got to 45% health (when he actually activates blood weapon, not 50%), and made sure I kept utsu up. It doesn't last for that many hits, so even if he does land it a couple times, not the end of the world (he'll get up to around 55% health at the most as long as you keep attacking him regularly, which should do about the same as any he recovers). Could probably do it at a lower level even since I got hit as hard as the level 71 pld said he did (except blood weapon hit from 45-110ish on me instead of the regular 30-75ish).
Okay, so I'm 1/9 on it. Not too bad, except a thief ran by right when I was about to kill him the 9th time, and I'm thinking perhaps his TH3 (yay knife) helped there :/ I had to use food 5 of the times, cause he was on steroids (yay level 55 one?) and usually got by without juice, so for safety's sake, I'd use both. I died once, cause my boss called me into his office to go over some accounts issues... Bastard, expecting me to do work at work D:
Got mine tonight^^b We were 2/3 for my drk and my bf's pld. I went as my 75 rdm, brought a few friends,me, Saharah 75 rdm, my bf Longbongsilver 51 pld, Deathseekr 75 pld, Archahngel 75 rdm, and our lucky charm, the baddest ass taru ever, Cmz 75 thf. Arch ended up soloing the 2nd one, and whooped him bad >:)Ding, 2 parade gorgets ^^
So, after going back and forth over and over again looking for the pop spots for the Scrawled Writing using the markers on the FFXIAtlas map, I find the pop zone in the middle of the curved tunnel to the circular platform in Grid I-9, bot no where NEAR the spots marked. Last night, I seem to remember seeing a Excavation Point or Mining Point in that spot... ORZ...
0/3 so far on this stooge. seein some of the peeps at 1/21 n stuff makes me want to skin the programming idiots at S/E. NOTHING should be THAT hard in this "game".

1/4 for me, next one popped at *I-10* in the tunnel... orZ. GOOD JOB S/E for changing stuff on us... Nonetheless, I got my gorget, now to get my DRK to 50 to use it... :D

hmmm...im prolly not a good as i think i am? doesnt that mean that you are not a good as you think you are? some people who obsess over this game make me want to quit playin all together. thanks for ruining it for me.
well, 2 fights done, 0 drops for RDM75/NIN37, thinking TH could help... maybe I should sub thief. he's not entirely weak, I went in half-assed on my first round, tore thru my shadows n stoneskin pretty fast... got me to 50%. Second fight never even made it thru stoneskin, used about 7 shihei in both fights which happened at the I-9 spawn (repopped in same place... I shoulda just sat there)... Try Try Again...

Sat in Aht Urgan for maybe 15 minutes, and a 71 monk answers my cries for help. ^^ I proceed to /shout, many 50+ PLD's asking what's involved. Ends up being me and the monk and his 75 PLD friend.
So we warp out to Jeuno, take ship to Bastok and then run to the K-6 entrance. I invite monk's friend and we get crackin'. Turns out before we got there, the PLD popped it and got his Gorget. So we wait 13 minutes. Scrawled Writing (Found it!). Monk pops it, starts ripping it to shreds. PLD comes over and Swift Blades it. It dies and no drop. ; ;So we note the ToD, wait around, and find it again, this time over at I-9. PLD pops it, MNK goes to join him, and I wait for the final breathtaking moments of the battle... It dies and I'm a lucky owner of a Parade Gorget :P. We note ToD again, and wait. Monk finds it at G-13 spawn, and he pops it. PLD comes over and they kill it quickly. The damn gorget drops again :P. We all say our (Thank you)'s and (Take care)'s. The end. :3 Thanks a lot to Lans and Scotion, you rock!
Just took him as 75pld/rdm. No food, no drinks, no 2hr. Not overly difficult. He hardly broke through stoneskin, I lost all of 100 hp over the course of the fight. Good idea to start w. 300% tp, spirits took 10% off him first swing (elvaan hp). 1/1 on drop, did G-13 pos. Sounds like im a little lucky. lol

Okay...so I fought this guy as a 71 PLD/35 WAR. Finally got the Parade Gorget on my eighth try which isn't too bad considering other posts I've seen. Here's a couple things you might want to try/consider:
The "Scrawled Writing" only appeared at two different locations for me: I-9 and G-13.
The spawns truly were random and were every fifteen minutes on the dot.
When this Gob gets 1/2 life he uses Bloodsaber which HURTS (80-120 HP per shot) so FLASH him and do whatever else you can to not get hit too much.
A BLINK BAND helped me a lot... I used it probably three times per fight. Even thought it takes a while to cast it's worth it (especially right before the gobbie uses Bloodsaber). Plus his accuracy stinks so he won't hit you much during it anyway.
The drop occured on Lightsday at 100% Fullmoon (don't know if this matters or not)
If you're at the G-13 spot kill the "Bugbear Servingmen" in the close area otherwise they will aggro during your Gob fight and almost kill you (which is what happened to me except a BLU came along and saved me.) Plus this builds TP for the fight.
If you have trouble finding the I-9 spot hit the "TRADE" button repeatedly when you're in the general area and your cursor will move to it automatically.
Lastly, this guy's normal attack hit me at around 30-70 per hit (with out sentinel, rampart..) but I did use Tavnazian Taco for food. You should bring MP drinks to keep alive.
Just slaughtered this guy as rdm75/nin37 was kinda overkill never even needed Utsusemi: Ni and he didnt land a hit on me lol. Got the drop on the second try at the I-9 pop location as it never poped anywhere else. As for Soul eater and Blood weapon, does he actually use these moves cos he didnt on me....altho he was dead in like 60secs >_>;
Anyway anyone need any help with this bad boy /t chrik on asura server id be glad to hand his ass to him again ;D
NM Popped @ G-13 didn't miss as often. Sorry I don't have more info but there was a noticeable difference between the two pop zones.
If I didn't have Utsusemi, it might have been a closer fight or death.
/RDM may be a better option with Blink and Stoneskin, but I don't have that leveled yet.
Also I noticed that the NM popped at G-13(furthest south spawn) was a bit harder than the one at I-9. This NM at G-13 got me into the red and I had to use invincible 1 out of 2 times.
Edited: Due to the differences in the G-13 pop and the I-9 pop. May or may not be true but I will update this if I find that it is/isn't. Better safe than sorry.
Fought him yesterday and got my gorget ^^. I took two drinks with me yesterday, got gorget on 2nd drink,I think I had attempted him twice before, so that's like 1/4 rate.
I went as 73Pld/36Rdm and the fight was a joke. Threw up ProIV, ShellIII, Stoneskin, Blink, Aquaveil, BlazeSpike, Phalanx, didn't even bother with an en-spell (forgot about em, lol). Popped Wolfie and used BioII, Slow, Paralyze, and Flash. Then I threw on my DD gear (no hauby or joytoy, so it's a kinda meh setup) and went to town. I just kept recasting Stoneskin and Blink whenever they went down and used Vorpals at 100%. When he used Blood Weapon I popped Sentinel and recasted my buffs. I think his highest drain was like 40 o_O .
So overall they were both super easy fights and EASILY solo'd. I brought no meds or drinks either, just went toe-to-toe with him.
A buddy and I recently hunted this guy. I, a 65 PLD and he a 64 DRK. He subbed THF I subbed WAR. We went with 5 drinks. He camped the far spot and i got the one closest to the enterance. If he got the spawn i ran to him, if i got he ran to me, it neither got we both met at the middle spot. It worked pretty well.
We killed it without any major problems. My buddy accedently used souleater and last resort once while the gob did blood weapon. It wasnt pretty. He never did that again. He was hitting me for about 50-60 points of damage, and i have about 500 defence with food. He also missed alot. Not that hard of a monster.
We went 2/5 on drops. not to shabby if ya ask me. And someone else poped it before we i got mine, he got drop and then next fight i got a drop. so all in all easy nm with a great drop rate.
Myself and a friend duoed this. I was a 66 Dark Knight/THF and he was a 66 Paladin. Basically I popped Souleater and Last Resort (after building TP on moblins) before he popped the mob, and hit him with a TA-Guillotine standing behind the PLD. This took 1200 odd HP from him and I think he hit blood weapon soon after. The PLD took a bit of a beating since he wasnt properly equipped or subbed (was doing the ENM, it was my idea to do this fight for him) but he survived and I finished the thing off with another TA-Guillotine for 900 damage. Also drained back most of the HP i lost during souleater.
It was a difficult fight in that the goblin hits HARD, and has quite a high HP, but its well do-able.
Just solo'd this as RDM66/NIN33. He didn't 2 hour or use any special DRK abilities other than spells though. Maybe because I took so long to kill him? I'm not really sure.
Just be sure that if you're not a very high level, that you keep up all buffs. When he hit me while Stoneskin and Utsusemi were down, he did 150ish damage per hit.
Was a close fight in the end, but he dropped the gorget, so 1/1 for me :D.
I found hiim at G-13, but for those who haven't seen the other post on here, his other spawn points are I-9 and I-11.

The only difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.
I first posted this a few months ago right after we got the recipe for the Goblin Drink, but since there is a now a page for the Wolfman I figured this would be a better place for it.
First off you need to trade a Goblin Drink to the Scrawled Writing in Oldton Molvapolis. The writing will respawn 15 minutes after the Wolfman dies.
To get a Goblin Drink you can either buy one at the Auction House under Drinks or synth one with level 80+ Cooking
One each of the following: Water Crystal La Thiene Cabbage Wild Onion Gyshal Greens Frost Turnip Distilled Water San D'orian Carrot Elshimo Newt --> The only item that is not available from an NPC Watermelon
I fought this evil bastard a few times before I got my strategy down. Really the only tough bit is when he uses Blood Weapon. It hurts. Alot. You also need to watch out for his Goblin Rush, I lost once when he nailed me with it for over 700 damage. His regular hits did around 70-100 damage and crits were about 150, once he 2 hours they can go over 200, and since it's Blood Weapon all your hard work goes down the drain. You also have to watch out for all the odd firwork type moves you get from the regualar moblins in the area.
I went as a 70 Drk/Sam. Seigan is freakin sweet for this fight. I tried subbing Nin at first since I didn't have Sam leveled yet, but got splattered. Anyway, I just whacked away at the fellow till he 2 houred then hit him with Stun then Bind and walked out of range till his 2 hour wore off. With Seigan and Third Eye I wasn't even in the yellow once the fight was over. He's got around 5400 HP so he takes a bit of killing, but it's not too bad if you go in prepared for a longer fight.
This guy hits hard (100+ dmg per hit)but his accuracy is for sh!t like a typical DRK j/k :P. Fought him on a full moon with PLD 75 (me), THF 60, WAR 75 and I'm 1/2 on the gorget. I didn't really want/need it at first but an LS friend was going for it and I tagged along. Now I'm glad I got it. The gorget isn't that useful in an exp party but it is useful in almost any other situation where you use magic as PLD, even just messing around. His spawn points are I-9, I-11 and G-13 in Oldton Movalpolos. Respawn on the "Scrawled Writing" is 15 mins and random at one of the above spots. Best thing to do is go with at least 3 people and each person camps a spawn point.
Ok ive been camping this damn thing for 3 days and yet to have seen anything drop other then around 50gil . . .
Im 0/16 on this guy, anyone else have this much bad luck?! 5 of those kills were at Fullmoon 95-100% and also some fell on Lightsday, which leads me to believe that has no effect on drops ive tried all the supposed theories to help, Full Moon , Lightsday, Using no Weaponskills, subing THF for TH etc and still i dont have a Parade Gorget :(
Ive fought him as 74RDM/BLM, RDM/WHM, and RDM/THF i usually always melee him so its not a quick fight around 5-7 mins could this be it lol im clutching at straws :( maybe im killing him to slow or something . . . sigh >_< clearly i have extremely bad luck.
This NM was pretty easy @ first with BST75. Then all of a sudden he uses soul eater and started eating carrie alive lol. 200 hit + 250 additional effect drain. I was like wtf. Carrie barely survived. First time killing him it dropped the gorget ^^. My PLD is now happy =D
Had a LS event here Party of 6 all 50+ PLD DRK DRK BLM SAM WAR/NIN. We had 8 goblin drinks total bought them at Jeuno AH for 8k a piece. just find Scrawled writing in oldton movapolos and trade drink to it. I dont remember the exact POS but it isnt hard to find. 3/8 on the drop. Aggro can get a little annoying but nothing too dangerous. Wolfman is a DRK mob and he hits kinda weakly his Blood weapon can hurt an unsuspecting tank though and he used it everytime except for once
It has been known for a while now how to pop this nm. Just trade a Goblin Drink (AH - Food > Meals > Drinks) To the Scrawling writing in Oldton Movalpolos at I-9, I-11 or G-13. Pops every 15min. Drops Parade Gorgot, nice refresh latent effect for PLD and DRK. Latent works when HP is above 85%.
Sweet! Wished I hadn't wasted all that time killing those dumb impostors, though. ;_;
