2 of them appeared about 1 minute before Darkrider rode by party in Caedarva Mire yesterday, well when i say "rode by" i mean walked his horse right through middle of our party and stopped for a while, then rode by...
If i wasnt standing there thinking ZOMG how PWN does he look i woulda grabbed a SS /sigh
I was in a EXP party fighting Birds and Date Erucas in Bhaflau Thickets. Puller aggroed him and we killed him as a balanced party of 65-67. I have no idea what this guy is for and no one in my party knew either. Anyone know what this guy is for? A scout for Dark Rider or something?

Actually encountered (and was killed by) this NM in Wajaom Woodlands. He does appear with the Dark Rider...in this case, he was probably one square behind the Dark Rider on the map when we got aggro. We had just squeaked by the big guy, so we thought we were safe, until this thing rounded the corner and aggro'd me.
He's a demon, and doesn't really look different than any other demon (same size and all that). He carries a scythe, and casts lower-level elemental magic than I would expect a BLM to, so he's very likely a DRK. The first thing he did when he aggro'd was cast Thunder II on me. He'll hit a 75BLM for about 150 hit, so he isn't too bad. A balanced PT of 60-65 could probably kill him easily.
This is the first actual NM i've seen that aggros to Scent... and here i was thinkin that Deodorise was useless except as a joke spell or to lose aggro.
Nothing first about that, most mobs that aggro by sight pursue by scent. Pursue means their method of following you when you are out of sight/sound distance. If you cast deodorize or cross a steam of water, you stand a chance to shake off pursuit.
