yo im on Caitsith server and my friend Bartosz wants this bow, hes 72RDM and im 64DRK can we duo this guy?

I hate my server.. this bow will put you under 14.4m of hard earned, highly camped gil. Rng is at 40 atm.. was at 16 a week ago, I need this bad boy. Main is 60war/nin, wondering if a party of 58-60 can throw this guy around. THanks a ton guys

I'm just wondering, how exactly do you get to the spawn room? As a 70RNG, would I need oils/powders to get there? Any info would be appreciated, thanks. ^^

I have been doing some research as of late on this NM and the Western Shadow. People say they are not 21-24, I believe they are 21-24. But the 21-24 is the window in which the NM's lottery could possibly start. So say he dies 5 pm est and you go back the next day at 2 pm est and start killing place holders. He might not pop within the 21-24 hour process but my theory is that his lottery will start in this time, but he could not pop for 8 hours or more longer than 5pm est. Can anyone confirm this?

Forgot to mention guys, the current pic posted of Eastern Shadow is horrible and should be destroyed. Though that is basically what he looks like, there is one discrepancy. Eastern Shadow is decked out in smoke grey scale mail, so he is easily distinguishable from his place holders. Also, if you are a RNG, you can see the entire room's contents on your radar-compass. This will allow you to spot a pop just before it shows up on screen, and you do not have any blind spots. This is a great way of beating those damn mage class gilsellers =D.

I just started camping ES 2 weeks ago, on the weekends mainly, but during the week as well when I have a ToD to work with. Anyway, from what I have noticed, Western, Eastern, Southern and Northern Shadow's have no direct power over each others spawning times, though the spawn times are far different then they used to be for each. When I started I was under the belief that these were 21-24 hour spawns... I was wrong. Though, the majority of their spawns are within that window, they can spawn early and late. The earliest I noticed was 40mins before 21hour point on ToD, and 1 hour after 24 point on ToD. He pops in place of one of his place holders, so you do have time to relax between the repops, so thats always good. The repops are fairly long as well, about 15mins. Just remember that if and when you get the NM claim, pull him into a nearby hall (not the Utukku filled one >.<) and you can kill him safely without fear of low HP agro or a link from his other place holder.

I try to never go at this alone, primarily because of the need to kill the place holders efficiently (Two Specters, 55ish, for each shadow), and the huge risk of being MPKed (which I have successfully been twice by Lumona, I hate him). If you are a RNG trying to get this Bow, God Speed, but bring a decent mage with you and plenty of ammo. I use a War Bow +1 & Scorpion Arrows to take out the place holders, and a Loxley Bow & Sleep Arrows for taking down the NM. It takes about 3 stacks of sleep arrows to kill him coming out of the Loxley Bow, but when attempted with the War Bow +1 I've found Sleep wears to fast, and when sleep doesn't stick he will eat your shadows faster then you can recast them and get a distance between you again. If you do use the sleep bolt or sleep arrow plan, bring 6-7 stacks in case you run into trouble with a link (if your alone).With a fast crossbow or with a Loxley Bow, you can easily solo the NM and 1 link. Sleep sticks considerably well on Shadow Family monsters (49/50), so once again, the only real threat here is your competition and the place holders.

When ever I head over to Fei'Yin to camp his ToD, there are always these two gilsellers there to ***** me on claim, or MPK me. Lumona being one (There is a Lumon gilseller squad on Fairy, ranging from Lumona > Lumonf, and they are infamous as being both well equipped and cold) and Tanta being the other (Tanta can only be described as Lumona's slave, I want to use a more appropriate word, but that would be to bold). One problem I had with these two, besides being MPKed, is that if you get alot of friends to help you, they leave but bring a place holder with them and Tanta will remain in Fei'Yin hiding in one of the empty cells constantly sleep IIing it and meding. This can be easily solved merely by calling a GM, being courteous, and keeping the place holder on WS until the its dead, or has respawned. The GM took care of this for me by using there badass "Death" ability. Tanta was sent to GM jail for questioning long enough for me to get the Eastern Shadow (no drop :() and for Lumona to give up and head to Castle Zvahl to farm.

So, in conclusion, roughly 20-25hr respawn, spawns in place of one of his place holders giving you time to go Bio, main threat being gilsellers and MPKers, need friends for efficient disposal of place holders, bring 5-7 stacks of sleep arrows or bolts in case you need to solo the NM and link safely, and never give up =D.

P.S. This is a really rare drop, I am currently 0/5 on him, but, like me, don't give up until you have this Bow as well, :p.

Final Note: Common sense, use /targetnpc and /ja "shadowbind" <t> macro for claims. If you get a PHer first, merely kill it fast with friends, and then have someone with Provoke or Flash etc be extra vigilent until next mob pops (If only Shadowbind had a 30second cool down time ^^; ) Good luck guys, hope I helped.

Had the same experience with the change of spawn time, killed both western and eastern, next day, came 20 hours after ToD, got eastern to pop again, no western. Third day, neither pop, after camping 8 hours after 21hr mark....
Something definately different...

Hi, I'm having problems with the spawn times also. I killed this NM recently and didn't get the drop. At the time there were lots of campers for the various shadow NMs. I log in 21hrs after the NM was killed, and the zone is empty! What's going on?! I stayed there and killed place holders until the 24th hour, it never pops. Apparently some players know its new spawn times, because there were lots of players on the day it popped, and NONE 21-24hrs later. I really want this bow for my RNG, but I'm not willing to pay 9 million for it. If you have camped this NM recently please tell me anything you know about spawn times, thanks.

in carbuncle this bow is 10.5 mil in jeuno AH think a 51thf 50 DRK and a 70 thf could solo this

Think a 70DRG and a 65 SAM could take this thing? Or if DRG subbed whm?

MMAAAN the rush...
its so great so youve killed it like 3 times and everytime you kill it it says youve found a dark crstal on the easters shadow. then u kill again and it says youve found Eurytos' bow on the eastern shadow your like WOA! yea like 5mil in your f'in inventory.

Could a lvl 70-72 RDM solo these Shadows?

Ok, i've just now experienced the same problems with ToD mentioned a few times already.

I got ToD, came back the 2nd day and missed claim, then come back again the 3rd day and he never spawns.

I'm thinking it's one of two senarios.

Either his ToD is reset by one of the other Shadow NM's. (similar to leech king and argus)

Or he simply skips a day every once in a while, and his ToD carries over to the next day.

3 people from my LS camped this thing and got bow today. ._.; 2.2 million each.
