Set PT chat to hold. ^^ How? Well, go to the second menu and select Config. Then select Chat Filters. then you're at a list of things you can block or hold. To hold PT chat, select Party Chat and keep hitting enter until the icon to the left turns green and says hold.

Pop Window
# Mar 29 2005 at 10:03 PM Rating: Decent
*sigh* after searching the web for hours looking through every site's NM listings and comments I have still not found out the new pop window or placeholder on this. used to be 21-24 hour lottery. But, I have watched people kill it, wrote down the TOD and come back the next day 3 hours before and it didn't pop within those 3 hours. I tried coming 6 hours before and still nothing. I'd really like the new pop window on this or if there is another mob that must be killed to trigger it to pop. Alot of rumors floating around but little truth, please help me out.

I am wondering if this is a HNM, it is a lottery pop that have to kill the place holder or it will pop itself like serket?
price on caitsith
# Mar 21 2005 at 2:10 AM Rating: Decent
Price in Jeuno AH on Cait Sith server is a steady 40mil, which i imagine would probably only be sold through trade nowadays with the crappy transaction fee crap. Only rich people would pay 80k to put this up in the AH.

# Jul 03 2005 at 10:20 AM Rating: Decent
probably way more than 80k to put something 40m up for AH

I can let you know now that soloing Lord of Onzozo is not an easy task, although it can be done of course.

Best is to go with /NIN sub and your best WHM friend, then he's a breeze.
It's just annoying near 10% HP when he spams Waterga III and Whirlwind move alot ><;

I heard a rumor that his previous spawn conditions (21-24 hour lottery on sea monk) have been changed as of the latest update? Can anyone verify this? I'd check myself but I'm too low of a level (asking for a friend).

Ugh.. I know all there is to know about LoO now
that I've camped him the past 43 days in a row /sigh..

LoO isn't all so hard, I have no experience from
under Lv.75 so I speak only from experience I
have accumulated in the past 43 days as RDM75/NIN37.

Lord of Onzozo is popularily thought to be a 21-24hrs
spawn, first of all, let me correct that and say it is
more likely to be around 17-24hrs spawn window on this
guy, since I successfully popped it more than once at 19hrs
since last death.

He uses 3 damaging attacks (in my opinion Flood is not
considered to be a damaging attack since I Utsusemi it away)
wich is Whirlspin, he spins around with water around him
dealing AoE damage and removing your whole Utsusemi.
Waterga III (ouch, this one's the worst) deals pretty
heavy AoE damage to everyone around him and remove all Utsusemi.
Cross-Attack thing (Don't remember exact name) if you don't
have your blink up when he uses this, ouch.. he will hurt you.

Other than that he uses Blindga that remove all Utsusemi
and Inkjet wich sprays ink on you basically and blinds you
(wich lasts for a very long time I might add).

Things you want to make sure are up are Barwater,
Stoneskin and Phalanx (if you are RDM ^^) and Protect
and Shell buffers, and additional Utsusemi etc.

You can duo this as RDM75/NIN37 and WHM75/BLM37.
Easy take-down is with a PLD tank, RDM, BLM, DRK,
and any other damage dealing job you can think about..
WHM to Barwatera and heal and you're off..
DD go down and do their thing, nice subs are /NIN (even on PLD :x)..
While RDM, WHM and BLM stand back (Unless you are there to melee).

His drop rate is terrible.. it took me 43 days to get the club..
That's over a month.. yes I know.. I'm crazy ._.

Good luck to any of you out there planning to take him on,
you will most likely need help, so I hope you have good
friends like I do in my LS ^^ (<3 to LS members for
always showing when it popped).

Is the club worth it (not gil-wize)?
Yes.. I love this club, and dual-wield it with
Joyeuse using /NIN sub.. I have too much fun
playing with this setup.

I hope this information helps a little.
Best of luck!

Not *that* hard
# Aug 22 2004 at 9:36 PM Rating: Excellent
Saw 3 level 75's take him, didn't have too much of a problem either. RDM (didn't melee), THF and DRK. THF had NIN subbbed so he blink tanked it while DRK went all out and RDM cured/refreshed. I did use all my MP (as a PLD) helping cure twice, but still seemed pretty easy. They got the drop too, was pretty cool

if the drk was going all out, how could a thf/nin tank it?

THF can pull hate with high accuracy and hit rate alone sometimes. Even casting utsusemi makes a certain amount of hate. The thief could just save TP until it turned on the DRK (would probably happen, let's be realistic here) and SA+DE behind it to regain hate.

As it is, it's not too hard for THF to keep shadows up since they evade so much anyway.

DRK/THF to SATA onto the THF/NIN?

Subbing THF will only let you SATA during WS. Being that SA wont work from in front, and TA by iteslf with a WS is pretty weak, I dont think it would transfer much hate. Although, I ahve been proven wrong on some things, I could be wrong on this one too.

Crak-taru
# Aug 11 2004 at 5:17 AM Rating: Decent
met a 75 RDM/NIN taru while helping a friend get his Gar. Cid. coffer.. he had this and another weapon kind of like it (a sword or a dagger cant remember really) but if you ever want to see the funniest thing in the game u have to see a taru in this setup.. he had on a scorp harness and the rest of his reg AF and these two things.. coffer hadnt spawned yet so the little taru got bored and pulled a beetle over and started going at it after casting Haste and Enstone on himself.. Omg i laughed for hours after seeing what we now call "the crak-taru" this little guy was an animal! just imagine a taru (mostly the little "yip" they do when fighting) beating a beetle senseless in less than 30 seconds... poor thing never knew what hit him.. and to this day i have yet to see anything better than this little "crak-taru" beating a mob to death while hearing "yipyipyipyipyipyipyip" lol...

Uh, stupid question - do you get any kind of special title for beating him as well?

I mean, I could see it being something like "Krakdown" (incredibly lame, but hell, so is "Serket Breaker").
