Vana'diel Bestiary: Ix'aern (DRG)  

General Information

• Spawns in the areas of (G-8), (G-10), (I-8), and (I-10) on the second floor of [[FFXI Area: Garden of Ru'Hmet).

• Randomly spawns after the Aw'aerns in each room are killed and will spawn in the center of the room.

• Guaranteed drops: Deed of Sensibility, Vice of Aspersion (Will always drop one of these two, with the Deed of Sensibility being the more prevalent drop).

Ix'aern (DRG) Special Attacks

• Impact Stream: AoE magic damage with additional Stun and Defense Down effects.

• Medusa Javelin: Single target physical damage with an additional Petrification effect.

• Crystalline Cocoon: Self target Defense and Magic Defense boost. (Effect can be dispelled).

• Auroral Wind: Frontal cone AoE Wind based magic damage with an additional Silence effect.

• Wing Thrust: Single target four hit physical damage with an additional Slow effect.

• Depuration: Self target Erase effect.

• Call Wynav: Summons three Aern's Wynavs to assist in battle. In Ix'aern's case, the Wynavs are Bard type mobs capable of casting all songs available to a level 75 Bard.
