I would recommend pulling him to the river. A ladybug from his pop area lasted the whole way. I just let the pulling pet die then go with the pugs. Takes 20-30min solo.

Tried him out lastnight solo bst/whm. Pulling was about the only slight issue with him to be honest. I went ahead and pulled him with a lady bug and brought him to the enterance area where you first see a liz and ladybug. Unfortunatly the pet will die during that pull so you pretty much have to zone and come back then start on him. Or if you really trust your charm rate you can go grab a tiger to pull him, Im pretty sure a tiger will make it all the way.
Pretty much once you start in on him its just alot of pet swapping, Id recommend letting him kill the lady bugs when you are attacking him , that way you dont have to worry about them aggroing, or having mischarms on them. Pretty much cycled the 3 lizards there on him and kept blink up. Hope this helps anyone who tries him out.

Also soloed this BST/WHM. Pulled with a ladybug, which did survive the pull. Once it died all the links depopped and I switched to the other ladybug. I tryied to keep one or two of them alive since they seemed to last a little longer than the lizards, giving me a little more beathing room to rebuff and get ready to swap.
Also 0/1 here but it was indeed a fun fight :)

Duo'd BST/NIN + BLU/NIN
Nightmare for Utsusemi tanks due to constant barrage of arrows.
Also those ranged attacks deal a good amount of damage.
Cannot describe Eagle Eye Shot's damage since I didn't see them in log.
Crossbow droped. Most likely high drop rate.
Poped from the RNG Orc at the pond where he pops in the present.
