Raise II
# Oct 13 2006 at 3:26 AM Rating: Decent
First ran into this guy doing my LB3. I was pretty cautious since I was soloing this quest and I had heard it has True Sight. Luckily a NIN got aggroed by this NM not knowing about it so I was able to get my crest without much trouble.

Now I'm back to Castle Oztroja to get my AF body for RDM. I was getting help from 75MNK and a BLM. BLM was /anon so I dont know what lvl he was but he had the Igqira Weskit so he had to be at least 73 (I know. Wow an Igqira Weskit?). We started farming on top floor with no success and later got competition so we decided to drop down to where the NM spawns. Anyways MNK was killing everything really easy. To my surprise he even decides to attack the NM. However, it was really easy fight. NM used benediction but nothing the MNK could'nt handle. We killed both NMs and if I remember right they both dropped Reraise III and Raise II. I was lucky enough to get one of the drops. MNK d/c a while later and I was not able to get my hands on a coffer key. I warp and decide to log off and try again later (I guess I'll never get my AF).

Later I check price on AH and see R2 is 200k, not bad. I ask 75THF/NIN friend if he can help me with coffer key and also tell him about the price that I got from NM (THF friend needs money for Dragon Harness). We arrive at the castle and another friend 75SAM joins to help us. I get my Key on second Mob and we had found chest on our way to top (My luck is starting to change). So the THF is all excited about it and we decide to try the NMs. We get aggro opening the Brass Door and we get killed by AoE spells (Our luck ended). We decide to wait for raise and ask a WHM that we saw on our way to help. We get Raised but then the SAM has to log out.

Well my THF friend still wants to try it even though now we are unsure if we will succeed. We drop down and start killing the sorrounding yagudos. We rest and he pulls the NM and also gets a link (Oh no we're going to die). I sleep the link and we start the long process of beating on the NM. I try to keep my enfeebles as best I can while trying to keep the other mob asleep. The High Priest resisted many of my enfeebles and I found myself casting Silence many times over. Aside from his benediction, which he decided to use near the end of the fight, it was an easy but long fight. My THF friend actually found it harder to fight againts the Yagudo MNK types then this NM. We fought this guy three times with no drops except Reraise III (I guess I got lucky the last time). He did get us down into red HP one time after I took hate with Cure IV and the THF was silenced. I was able to keep us alive using Cure II (I didnt want to take hate, I had 17 HP). We kept our cool and by the end of the fight I was had rested for half MP and we had half HP on us (Not bad considering he almost killed us). The fourth time I got aggro while pulling the NM and had to Chainspell Escape (I prepared a Macro just for this situation). Well I had to log out and the people near Brass Door did not want to help me open door. I told my friend we can try it again sometimes just for the fun of it and he did get his Kurayami:NI for his NIN (He has better luck farming Fomor Codex anyways).

Well altogether I think the drop was harder then it seemed while the NM was relatively easy. I would probally not want to camp this NM again since the drop is rare and its a pain to get to the spot and even bigger pain clearing out the area (Probally why not many people camp this NM, if any). Well good luck to any of you who are looking to fight this NM for R2 or maybe LB3 (Oh god, did I write a book?).

P.S. I'm not new to this site but I am a new member. This is my first post. Hope it was informative (At least entertaining). Rate me up.

Tzee Xicu the Manifest
# Oct 10 2006 at 1:39 AM Rating: Decent
Recently I was messing around in Castle and I went up to where this guy was. And BAM! their was Tzee Xicu the Manifest. Got aggro by both Tzee Xicu the Manifest and Yagudo High Priest. Died, Gathered together 2 PT's of 75 Friends took Tzee Xicu the Manifest down. No drop, but was better then even killing Gods.
easy

/NIN pfft

75RDM/37BLM

All you need is stoneskin, phalanx, aquaveil, haste, refresh, ice spikes, paralyze, blind, slow, silence, drain, aspir, bio 2, choke, shock, burn.

This is a joke, and its a lv75 mob? ha. ONly annoyig part is if he decides to Bene late in the fight. Lost track of the # of times I've solo'd this guy. I've actually just started killing the Prelates and High Priests when xp'ing my NPC.

Tornado/Raise 2 make it worthwile.

Solo'd happily today, HP never went below 850.

Decided to take it on after getting all the way to the Brass door and realising I left my Judgement Key in my mog, so to make myself feel better I went for this Bird.

Pulled it to one of the side platforms either side of the large lower platform, it was out of range of any agro.

Keep it enfeebled!! Blind, slow and Para at all times.

Benediction was a pain in the ***** I suggest having a nice Dagger available to mainhand, I use the Heart Snatcher, and Energy Drain Weaponskill for a limitless MP Pool. When you are happy your MP pool is topped up switch back to Katanas for the Jins. Dual Stun Katanas were very handy too as they fire often.

NIN/WHM FTW.

No drop though which is a shame.

Ya, I soloed this bad boy melee style with my 75THF/37NIN, easy fight all in all, couldn't hit me really. I've killed it a few times now, seeing regen III, reraise III, raise II, shellra IV, and of course whm testimony drops. Raise II was worth 350k on Seraph may 2006. Fight took me about 8 minutes perhaps and the Yagudo Templar at the top with the High Priest is a joke, it's 2 hour is laughable, it will Howl, Sweep, and basically use 3 special moves like that in a row. Hits kinda hard though with it's GKT.
Raise II dorp rate is a Nightmare

Soloed this bad boy as 75RDM/NIN. As long as you keep up enfeebles (Silence in particular) this guy isn't much of a threat. Benediction is annoying and can make this battle last a lot longer than you'd like it to, so it's just a matter of chipping away at his HP while keeping your shadows up.

Didn't get any drops at all.

um... ya... this mob has True Sight, which means invis does nothing. You have to wait till either his back is turned, or he wanders away from the ???.

I was curious what I could steal from him, so hit Steal and pulled a REGULAR beastcoin off him, then popped Perfect Dodge and hit my warp scroll. Too bad a RNG type yagudo linked while the High Priest was whiffing away, and took me down in short time with 250+dmg ranged attacks.

Curiosity killed the cat. Luckily, a kind WHM tossed a Raise III at my tattered body outside the moghouse. ^^
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 15 2005 at 3:09 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Umm... wtf? First off, it would've been a NIN Yag; there aren't any RNG Yags anywhere except possibly Dynamis. :P The NIN Yags do spam ranged attacks. Second, Perfect Dodge dodges Ranged Attacks, or else I'd have been dead when I snuck up here at level 47. XD I happened to aggro an Assassin (that would be the NIN) and hit Perfect Dodge and Instant Warp and made it back to Jeuno no worse for wear, save that I was poisoned from a Dokumori: Ni that he got off before I hit Perfect Dodge. :P

You need to read the description on your jobs abilities. Perfect Dodge only dodges melee attacks, so it is easy to see that you are as dumb as the first guy.

Me and some of my LS went to go kill this. 59WHM, 61DRG, 69BLM, 75RDM, 57WAR, and a 64SAM (correct me if I'm wrong, guys). First time we ended up with 1 link with him and had a total party wipe out. We decided to do it again. Killed all the other Yagudo that would link then pulled him back. Killed him the 2nd time with no problem. We didn't get any drop if I remember right.

I have to say the few times i've gone to the altar room in Castle Oztroja he's always been there, i doubt therefore that the spawn can be that long. Either that or there is no one trying to kill him......

A lv.71rdm/blm friend of mine and myself killed this dude, and yes, I'm lv.56rdm/smn =p No one else, just us two.

It's incredibly hard to get him to a safe spot, but when you do it's just the matter of a very long, drawn-out nukage battle.

I kept up both our Refresh, would Dispel early in the beginning to remove all his buffs, and rebuffed myself when need be. Other RDM would do Fire III (I'd use Blizzard II), then he'd Sleep II the High Priest, we rest, etc., repeat process. Along with adding a Silence and Aspir from time to time to drain his MP and keep him from using Holy, Banish III, and Banishga III (and they HURT).

Took awhile, Benediction was annoying but expected of course, so this guy has at least 6000hp, because we had him almost down to half, and his Bene restored almost 3000hp. In the end we did kill him, didn't get a blasted thing. I got 94exp, he got 120exp >_<, and some gil. Totally not worth the time we spent, but at least it's some good bragging rights. =D
drop not worth it

My ls went to camp it the other day with 73 pld,72sam,70rdm,70blm,62whm. We knocked it down to about less then half of its hp then it used bene and then me and sam used our renkie on it <savage blade = kasha> which did an light renkie burst and it knocked pretty cose to half of its hp and the blm just nuked it and we did a few more wacks and it died, its pretty easy, just make sure theres no add, we camped on the left side of the spawnin areas, there 2 of them, one spawn in the middle and one on top. We also killed the other yag that spawn there but no drop at all. We killed around 6 all togther that few hours with no drop just reraise3 . they are just not worth campin ; ; They are 15 minute spawns so drop rate is hell.
took him out for fun

I went with a JP alliance to get the Yagudo crest, and we all of us (like 14-15) managed to get it without aggroing the High Priest O.O but after that we were debating killing it, and decided to go for it with Escape ready in case he was too much. Well, he surely was a pain, I was too far back to see much of what he did but the fight took a while, and he did something halfway through (Bene?) that healed a *ton* of his HP. Anyways the fight took a while but I don't think any reasonable alliance with 14+ good people would lose to him.
