Well I was farming today in the giddus and decided to start a train.^^; so I went and fell down the hole where you need to go to camp Hoo Mjuu. Yagudos wont fall down the holes so they have to go the long way.... climbing walls. So when I was up where Hoo Mjuu was the train caught up to me. So I took them down 1 by 1. And I saw the train took Ivvy Mon to me:D so I killed the train, got lots of stuff, and got the knife which I'll get no matter what ><
I managed to solo him as a lvl 20 thf/ 10 mnk
I used perfect dodge and started with a SA
This guy is much harder then he cheaks if you don't have a -ga spell to get rid of the shadows.
now i have the knife sitting in my inventory... too bad im from san d'oria... DOAH!
it was a fun fight though, with me ending with about 4hp

He and Zhuu buu the Scilent are not NM's.

The Knife is prolly one of the nicer weapons for a rdm/nin sub ... other than that its a collecters item only...IMO
Actually his spawn time is 15 minutes, i was doing Rank 2-3 with two LS buddies so we were camping panara shields, i had my timer next to me and it spawned every 15 minutes, and as far as i could tell knife drop is 100%

he spawn like evry 20 min
but dont waste ur time i killed him with my 20rng like 10 times and al he drops is aspir knife but its worthless. plus the aspr knife drop exery single time

Aspir Knife is good for Ninja if you are subbed RDM... and Aspir Knife is an 100% drop, I can confirm. outta all the 50 times ive killed him, it dropped aspir knife, ive tossed 49. yay!
i killed him ten times and got all the knifves!

This guy barely even nicked me, and I was doing tons of damage to him with my Bee Spatha. I killed him once and gave the Aspir knife to the Yagudo, and I killed him again for his knife. I still have his knife in my mog house.

this is the easyest nm ever.. i ripped him at level 12 with a 10 thf in my party. we got aspir knife

I was searching for my Giddeus key as a level 25 Monk/12 Warrior. Seeing that this guy was a NM, I attacked him. Unfortunatly, he got to a spot where I couldn't reach him, so I just decided to walk away. He called around 15 of his buddies and chased after me. I finally got sick of getting hit for 1 damage that I turned around and too out each Yagudo (including the NM) with two punches each. I got nothing...
I killed him got the knife and when to the next section and killed the othe N.M. that drops the piranaa shield.That was two good drops in 5 min.Level 22 war.-11 thief.

Came through the area as level 25 WAR/THF getting kazham keys and kicked his butt. He dropped aspir which is a decent weapon for low level THF I guess.

actually ive killed Bubbly Bernie about 50 times and he always gauges as "Impossible to Gauge"

If you want another bit of evidence that he's not really a NM, most NMs aren't regular spawns with placeholders usually spawning in their place. These Yagudos on the other hand spawn regularly. They're more like unique monsters, rather than notorious. Same as the Orcish Warchief. I'm sure there are some unique Quadavs too.
Not to mention that fact that he cons too weak to be worthwhile...
he is a NM like other NMs that are used in missions they spawn quicker then others for ex. bubbly bernie you just have to place quu down and he comes or forger for the SAM quest comes every five minutes so he is a NM deal with it just because he is weak and annoying he is still a NM along with Zhuu Buxu the Silent, just deal with it.

It's the northeast quadrant of G-7... about the middle. Sort of the middle of a room.

Everytime I have ventured to Giddeus, I have encountered him. He is in the tunnel that connects the East side to the West (closest to West Entrance) He was rated as easy the first time I fought him, and I died (tried to save another). Went back there as a whm22/blm12 and attemped again. Beat him, with some difficulty, and received the Aspir Knife.

This guy shows 'Impossible to Gauge' to me at lvl 50, so I conclude he is a NM...but, he is a particularly useless NM since the items dropped are Rare/Ex. I went to kill him cause I wanted an aspir knife for my low level thief.

i have fought him a good 10 times and he has never once been "Impossible to Gauge".

I fought him 4 time, i didn't even want the knife, just wanted necklaces for syn.....he con to me as not worthwhile......to my lvl 26 pld.....

lol... omg you guys call him dumb? Not all NM's say Easy Prey if your a high enough level... I have a lvl 52Thf/26Nin and kill Jackety Eared-Jack, Spiney Sipi, Tom Tit Tat, Leaping Lizzy ALL THE TIME. It still says "Impossible To Gauge". This guy is not an NM, he just has a different name because he is for a quest. If it shows "Easy Prey, Decent Challenge" and so on, then it is not a NM. Get it straight please.

The other Ninja NM Yag drops the Parana Shields, both (Aspir Knife and Parana Shield) are quest items.
