Running through Garliage Citadel and passing a bunch of exping parties. Lot of chat spam in the box because I hadn't turned on filters yet. Passed the first Banishing Gate and things quiet down.
Then I see Hellmine readies SelfDestruct. I can't remember who was fighting it, but the next thing I saw was Xxxxx gets hit for 1,845 damage.

i really don't think these things drop the bomb arm or ash i just pent 2 or 3 levels down there killing these things and got 0 of either which would have been nice cuz the ash sells pretty good :\ but these do seem to drop coffer keys pretty fast which helped since i needed one for my beast helm ^^

Agreed. Spent levels 56-59 here and got zero drops other than fire crystals and coffer keys.

Hellmines can be slept.
A Hellmine spawned on top of my static while we were hunting coffer keys. The Black Mage Sleepga IIed it while we finished the skeleton we were fighting, then slept it twice again while we rested up to fight it.
In the end, we all wished she had used Sleepga II + Escape....

Funny story, I was exping on beetles and bats here today and a guy zoned one of these and it came back down to the lower level and aggroed my party. But as luck would have it Serket was spawning soon so there were 30-50 level 60+ people there and when we called for help about 5-8 of them came and completely annihilated it. So thanks to everyone who came dunno what would have happened otherwise XD.

A LS member formed a pt with some higher lvl sam and thf just to get us 3 coffer keys. We killed fallens for quite some time but didn't drop any keys, so we decided to try hell mines.... it was almost dead when it did explosion, it died, dropped the key, but it took us with him. Only our high level DRK survived. >_<
