Vana'diel Bestiary: Ga'Bhu Unvanquished  

Yesterday members in my LS decided to camp him but he didnt Spawn in the WHOLE 12 HOURS we were there =[ </cry>.. we mustve killed like 800 Qudavs in the process also...so expect a longwait if you're gonna camp it.

OK, First things first. I have to say, I HATE this place. With extreme passion and predjudice. It is extremely hard to navigate through and insanlely hard to proceed through. Especially for when your a mage, I feel sorry for you guys.

I was minding my own business traveling through here, trying to figure my way around, while at the same time, get to Evileye's camping spot. I guess i went a little too far. This fool is just sitting there, so i check him. Decent challenge. Isn't he supposed to be a NOTORIOUS MONSTER?! Me and my over-cocky dragoon self decide to challenge him to an old fassioned duel. 10 to 1, his 10 versus my 1. Oh, I'm loving these odds. He quickly slaughters me, but with my last dying breath, i shout for someone to come to my position and kill him. I'm sitting there, no one around. I wait about 10 minutes, and a group of atleast 16 people come by. And soon, my body becomes a war-zone. I had so many shoe prints on my back.

After a good 10 minutes or so, all the quadavs are dead, and I'm a happy little camper (Raise 2 will cheer anyone up) So, i rest up, grab a couple of my Linkshell friends, and begin to camp this guy. A lvl 51WHM, 60RDM, 49DRG (me), and a 49THF.

Seems decent.

As soon as we all get there, everyone goes AFK. At this point, I'm ready to annihalate this guy. Unluckily, there were other campers this time, most of who were in that massive war. 20 minutes later, He pops. I'm jumping as fast as elvaanly possible. I'm begging people to let me have him, and I got him. So, I'm stranded, my friends around me doing nothing. I'm getting my *** whooped, and i mean thoroughly. I'm about 1/4 of my HP left, he's 3/4. My THF friend joins the fray, yay!

Like a THF is going to get the aggro off of my Penta.

He SA's, does a couple hundred damage. I still have aggro. I'm dead. Two minutes later, THF's dead. And he goes to the WHM. About a minute or so of pounding, he's dead. And the the RDM. It took about 10 minutes or so for the thing to get rdm to 1/4 his health. But at about that time, he comes back. And starts WHOOPING Unvanquished. Though, the RDM dies (After a "Mistaken" convert). So all of us, lay dead, Homepoints EVERYWHERE across Vana'diel, and the other campers laughing so hard it was actually funny. Obviously no Drop....

Moral : Never die alone!

And I'm extremely sorry for the long post...I'm just aggrovated

Insted of waiting an extra 20 levels farm the money and get it for when your job turns lvl 43. Better then taking a certain job up to 60 and then camping. Plus camping it will take awhile to i'm sure

You think a 55 rng can solo him?

This was my first real hunt,and i read all the posts and was kinda worried cause im only a 49 DRK/24 WAR,but me and my friend Stephen 50 RDM/25 SMN,we decide we want some masks so wtf! We camp there for like 40 minutes 3 other lvl 70's are there and Ga'bhu pops right next to me,so i use Stun,but forgot that Stephen went afk.So here i am a lvl 49 DRK fighting this NM and we are trading hits but of course my HP is a lot lower than his,but Stephen comes back soon as my Hp hits 120,he heals me and then we tag team the Quadav to death.First fight DROPS mask!!! 1/1

Soloed this guy in about 1 min as 61NIN/WAR poor fella didnt touch me once...

My friend(DRG60) and I (DRG59) were camping this guy today, killing every quadav near the spawn area, just to dont get links. After 30-40mins of clear placeholders, it pops, we 2 Jump it, 2 Penta Thrust, and PWNED in less than 20 seconds. Good luck with him.

I don't agree with a few things on that information section. This NM can't possibly be level 54, or else I would have gotten at least 20 experience points. Instead, I got 12 experience points--exactly the same as the level 49 enemies in the surrounding area (I'm level 60). I witnessed two level 51s (PLD and SAM) totally destroy this NM (easily) without either one of their 2hrs, and I (after about a 3 and a half hour wait ; ;) managed to claim it, and it was a rather easy battle. My strategy was to fight, and use Super Jump when the Quadav hits Chainspell, turn around, and let my Wyvern have some fun ^^. She lived through it, and I opened up with Penta Thrust just after chainspell was finished, and then just mopped up from there. All in all, an incredibly easy fight. Much easier than any normal enemy at level 54, but somewhat more difficult than a normal enemy at level 48-49... thus leading me to believe that this NM is, in fact, in the high 40s.

im 1/5 ... it seems it spawns hour - hour half average.. but other night it took 6 hours..

My lvl 64 DRK buddy camped and killed this guy solo for the mask. He killed him as a lvl 60 DRK w/ excellent equipment (2x Sniper's etc) and he said it was a hell of a fight. He beat Ga'Bhu with about 2/7 of his life left, but he did not use his two hour. Just thought I'd add that to give melee's someperspective on soloing him.

I think they should now change his name to Ga'Bhu Vanquishedonmultipleoccassions.

Well im LVL 45 and me and 2 other LS friends took it easy..... we didnt get the valk mask thoguh got the sword oh well ill try again and again ill get my mask
