Killed it a few times, each time it gave me 91 exp with a pet out leading me to believe that it is level 70.
Edit: Just killed it at 69 and gave 112 with pet out this time, which would make him lvl 71 then. Hmmm, must be 69-71.

was fighting this today when i went to go get a scorpion from down there. got it to about 5% hp left and 3 stupid *** jp stole it and killed
i was a n00b(lvl 11) and i was exploring vana diel, i came across the tunnle and went inside...saw this sob and used mighty strikes, then provoke, hit me for 4k damage, i died....but had a scroll of instant rerais...and died again.
lemme fill in the spots why we cant believe this 1. because i just dont believe he hit you for 4k dmg 2.you couldnt make it through konschat let alone dunes me as my 51 MnK probably has a problem to get thru gustav not only kuftal so if your gunna lie make it more believable>.<
You'll have to excuse me for finding this very hard to believe. There are so many things wrong with it I don't even know where to begin.
sells for 15k on alexander, must be killed frequently i guess.
Took it out with a party of 5x61s with a 62 pld tank.
NOT 64-65, just wiped out 75rng along with party of 57-58.

Killed it with myself and a 75mnk/nin. If I recall correctly, I had about 3/4 of my MP left at the end. I know I didn't run out. But, my MP wasn't full because we were just Sneaking around, and a lot of the MP I used was spent on Haste and *trying* to land enfeebs. ^^
Dropped 2 Yowie Skins and some random gil.. I'm thinking about 4k each?

i was lvling up there with a 58-59 killing raptors 'till that thing spawned , it's listed as a 64-65 mob here , @_@ . the raptors here r 65-68 and they're hitting me for 100 approx (DRK59) and this NM hits for 200 . it's no way a lvl65 , i doubt it's lvl70 ..
Don't know how, but we allied with a neighboring EXP PT and defeated it. Came down to some seriously low HPs and MPs and we did have one death. The tank of our PT. Out BLM did Elemental Seal and Flood to finally defeat it. I'm glad he did. He also used his 2hr. If he didn't kill it, I'd of been raising him too.
Fire Crystal and Yowie skin dropped, but the area is once again clear to level away. 75 EXP and 1546 gil.
Side note: Tank (NIN) has about 1k HP and was dropped very quick due to inability to cast Utsusemi and and I believe he has triple attack.

This is a nm I believe I just encountered it. my party mostly lvl 58-59 doing real low dmg to it. We had to escape because we had no chance.
If you look at http://www.vanadiel.info/map/kuftal.htm the bottom right map is where it spawns around G-8. I think you have to maybe kill other Raptor type mobs around there to get it to spawn.
I think its special item it drops is some kind of a hide. I can't seem to translate the JP name of it to a readable english word.
