Now, I know this is a little off the wall, and a lot of people will probably flame me for this, but hear me out.
Think of everything you have to do in order to make it to this being. You have to defeat Jailers, who have imprisoned the different virtues. Those are fairly evil creatures, jailing things like love so nobody can have it.
But once Absolute Virtue comes on the scene, nothing really bad happens. You freed the creature by defeating all the Jailers.
Yet, for such a powerful creature, why doesn't it attack?
Now, for the controversial part.
What if he's not supposed to be fought? A friend of mine gave this theory to me, and I thought it made a little bit of sense. Maybe AV is a good creature, something to be kept alive, instead of destroyed.
I don't have any kind of proof about this, and I do not know how long after AV spawns until it de-spawns. However, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some reason he exists other than drop a rod that gives RR3.
He doesn't do anything until someone attacks him. And then he totally destroys whoever attacks. Maybe there's another purpose for him. Anybody ever tried trading a Virtue weapon to him? Like, all the virtues at the same time? There is a quest early on in the game where you must light 7 candles for 7 sins, and then 7 monsters, each named for a deadly sin, appear. Perhaps AV is not the end. Maybe he's used to spawn other things.
Anyway, let the ridicule begin.
