just in case you don't know, and want to speed yourself up, try hitting your trade button. it won't pick up any mobs, only People and harvest/mine/log/excavation points. then you just run up to it and finish the trade. i harvest mostly, and have never had a problem with somene stealing my points. sometimes i'm out there for some dinky little item, and will trade expensive item for it. just try talking to these people, please. tho, granted, anyone running around with the name "yrwui" is probably a gilseller.

Harvisting is weird. Some days i'll go out get 4 of these and some holly logs all in 10 minutes or so. Other days i'll harvest for an hour or two and only get 1.

Posted: Feb 21st 2006 10:28am, Score: Sub-Default, [expand] any woodworker (not logger) would know that elm logs are profitable even at 10k a peice (which i never pay that amount, guild is always better) u turn a 5-8k log into what would sell for 15-20k in best parchment (shieshi) of course it takes alchy sub for but well worth the time. by chance anyone know what they updated about it, doesnt seem like they changed anything with elm logs, unless they will appear in a new area after expansion. east ronf is just like jugnar the logs points are on any tree across whole map. normally in east ronf they are against far east side and at bottom toward the river.

Sorry I just don’t get this. The results from these items are 1) the elm lumber which is cheaper to buy from the guild 2) Humus, which can be bought at 300 gil each and drop off Yoatar mandgoras or 3) Bast parchment which can be bought at 1K each from Norg. Why are people buying this? (Is this another “Travellers Mantle” scenario? Over-hyped rubbish..why not just send me your gil)

Just FYI. If you have done the 3 proms (holla, mea, and dem) you can buy these in Tavansian (sp) Safehold for 7200. Its more expensive than the guild but less expensive than the AH. Also there are like 6 different NPC's there that sell these there.
In last month or so on Quetzy server the number of loggers has increased dramatically in Ghelsba. Prices for Elm Logs has shot up to 10k. I remember I could go there, and often be the only logger depending on time of day. Now I go and there are 6-10 loggers at any moment. Only select few will engage in proper logging etiquite. I try to follow the same, but if I'm logging with people who steal spots, then I have no choice but to do the same. It's the only way to stop spot stealing.
It seems that after the 2-14-05 announcement that our gil seller/loggers have vanished (Orccc and Orcca (sp?)) Since then I have been able to log quite freely with at max maybe 2-3 other loggers there. Most of the time its just me. These are currently selling for 10-11k consistantly on Siren. Combine the elm drops and all the other logs with lumberjack minus willow and maple I was able to make over 100k logging today. Its great to see SE take some action on those guys...it was ruining an aspect of the game that I enjoy. Not to mention a good way for me to make some gil. =P

Almost impossible to get these in ghelsba on my server(Seraph).If you miss 1 swing your tree is gone to someone else.You can't even talk to the other loggers,they refuse to work things out.I have a hard time believing SE made it more difficult to log certain items in an area after you are there for a long time.Amoney and Cmoney have been logging here today for 10+ hours.I think it is a rule that you have to be a turd to log here so here is my tip to those tired of losing trees to turds.If they don't want to play nice follow them to every tree they go to and hope they miss that 1st swing.That's the only time I get a reaction and it worked 1 time(we came to an agreement)These people don't care about other players which makes me think gilsellers or just plain ????s.Sorry,I think I've spent too much time in Ghelsba today(1 hour).
I got 5 of these yesterday in Ghelsba Outpost and 2 today... worth every second of harvesting! =) I sold all of them for 4k each. Make sure to bring wind crystals and such so you can synthesize the other logs you get (not the elm ones though) and sell them in stacks on the AH when you get back to town. Plus you can increase your woodworking skill!
I have harvested one during my last two trips to Ghelsba Outpost. Bring an extra axe though as it must a hard wood as I broke an axe on both trips. Both were from a tree by a cave where Orc Stonelaunchers spawn. They sold for 3k each at the AH, they both sold in a day!
