When my warp sticks are completely temporarily used up, I use this ring. I keep it on me 24/7. It's WONDERFUL for me and I find that doing this quest has saved me quite a large amount of gil that I would have spent on warp sticks.
Maybe you should give it a second chance? You might not regret it. On top of that, it looks cool! :)

Can't really imagine too many uses for this ring. I did it since it seemed like an easy quest... But I figure maybe one day I'll level another job and might help to be that close to Wajaom... Seems a LITTLE bit better than taking the boat from Mhaura as long as you can Sneak and Invis yourself... maybe even better if you had Flee :)
A chocobo has been added next to the ley point, so it only takes a minute to get back with no agro.

Good for getting back to Whitegate when you accidently set your home point elsewhere and don't want to wait forever on the ship.
This teleport ring is useful especially for quest 'What Friends are for'. It saves me a lot of walks. From the teleport point(known as Leypoint) to E-10 of Wooland , which will then lead you to Aydeewa Subterrance. Click on the ??? at G-10 there for CS. You will have to come back here. This is a great ring to have for high levels that like to solo DC mobs because it drops you right into a large "nest" of DC mobs - at least DC to me at level 74.

They don't run out but there is a 20 hour re-use time.
None... items with 1/1 charges don't run out. Ever...

I dont think this is too hard of a quest, just hard to do at my lvl.....

for those thinking this is such a great way to avoid the boat ride from mhura,
keep in mind, it teleports you the leypoint where you charge the ring.
its still a ~10+ min walk back to town, and you have to deal with aggro from tigers and trees and what ever else aggros,
also, you have to be on a 60+ job to use it.

- Got this one started. He gives you a key item "Dkhaaya's Research Journal" which I haven't looked at yet.
Description: A journal filled with years of Dkhaaya's research notes on the Olduum civilization. The pages are covered in incomprehensible drawings accompanied by Dkhaaya's scribbled musings.
-To complete it.
Goto the place where the blue floor is to end blue mage quest with a pickaxe. bring a few, I was 1/7, a friend was 1/1
Pick Axe NPC: (J-7) Kahah Hobichai in Al Zahbi
Excavate the mining point there to get a key item.
Return to the NPC he rewards you with a r-ex Lightning Band, no stats and can't equip.
After you have the Lightning Band go to G-8 in Wajaom Woodlands and trade to the tele to get the ring

Just got this ring today on Randor (and Mileena did too). Was alot of walking to get it, but well worth it so that i dont have to use that blasted boat. Easily quested, just keep sneak and invs up when needed. Cool story too.
