Heh... I use this back piece on my mnk/whm... Since I'm Elvaan, that boost of MP is awesome. I've also used this with mobs that cast AM, and I actually survived a Quake that a Droma casted on me, XD

Playing as best as I can since a while ago.
I was wondering how would this be for pld. The Magic def. bonus might come in handy when fighting magic mobs to cut down on the amount of dmg taken from magic spells. Just somthing to think about. Plus the mp bonus is nice
its actually pretty terrible for a pld. Wouldn't be worthwhile in exp, because it should be silenced or stunned before any mob can get a spell off. For hnm's, 80hp would come in more handy since pld mp doesn't matter.

Do you really think this mantle wont block more then 80 damage on a spell like Stonaga IV? With all the new equipment with Magic Defense Bonus, a PLD could get +12 Magic Defense Bonus. This would be the best mantle to use to kite Kirin for instance.
I'll sure try to HQ one for myself.

Definetly useful for a Red or Blue mage, maybe even a Dark or Brd, Bst too, but I can think of things that are a little better.

i know i take about 2/3 the damage my pets do against imps blaze spikes and thats just with shell and whm magic defense bonus (they might have 2 at level 32... but i really dont know)
