where and to who can i trad the ???box too
Is it being said that there is something that appraised fished/or otherwise obtained "Rusty Bucket," Appraised from something called a ??? Box?
Or is it being said that occassionally, a ??? Box is fished up instead of a "Rusty Bucket," and you can open it for one of the mentioned prizes or traded it "Rusty Buckets" for one of these Prizes
I'm Sorry, I'm just not getting it!!! You might as well be beating on a

I can usually figure these things out, I just cannot find enough information available to achieve a full understanding, so can somebody please tell me the link between fishing for rusty buckets, and getting them appraised for cool items (If that is a properly interpreted connection anyway). Or perhaps "Rusty Buckets have no connection to the ??? boxes.
So please, someone help me understand this by elaborating on the missing details, so I will not be so confused.

Your answer to my question was extremely precise. I now know exactly what all the '??? Box' and '??? Ring', etc. is all about. It kind of reminds me of the old AD&D computer games where anything decent had to be appraised to know its true identification and to get access to its once hidden properties and abilities.

??? items are gotten from assault, found in a treasure chest next to the Rune Of Release(the thing that appears once you're objective is complete and you are ready to leave). You appraise the items for 500 gil from an NPC in whitegate.
i got this ??? box from the quest Finding Faults after i defeated the NM Lamia and gave the two correct faults of the NM and then waited until JP midnight......when i got the box appraised, i was given an iron bullet pouch
I am the man!
I got a can of Automaton Oil +2 from appraising one of these the other day.
