Latent Effect: Raises TP

  • The latent effect will only occur while the wearer is engaged to a mob, and will drain 50HP/tic in exchange for giving 1TP/tic.

    • If equipped while the wearer is at or below 50HP, the next "tic" will result in death.

What if you were resting?

every tick while resting is higher hp regen then the tick before it, right?
So what if you just waited a minute before switching the item in, and say, went to the WC or got a drink? In all seriousness, you should walk back to full health AND 300 TP. right?

Or am I reading this wrong?

I think this would be an excellent item for killing HNMs if you know what i mean , with 20 people having it , and getting regen and stuff, it would be best for getting TP from it , then just WS on mob , better then killing off other mobs for TP. Did u get it?

This maybe a completely retarded idea, but its an idea none the less:

Ok so right now when you have this equipped, you lose 50 hp/tick and get 1 tp/tick. What if you equip Berserker's Axe at the same time this is equipped? Maybe the 50 hp/tick goes away?

im not an expert on WHM...but i think the 20/tick from regen 3 can get an extra 5/tick from merits and 3/tick from AF2 body...so thats 28, which will not stack with drinks, plus if you have a gear that adds regen effect thats another 1/tick and sub WHM for another 1/tick, thats 30/tick. as for songs, there is a paeon+2 istrument, and paoen 4 and 5, thats another 13/tick, which makes for a total of 43HP/tick

So 28 from fully merited whm, 13 from well equipped Brd...and 10 from dual wielding rune axes (5 hp/tick each using sanction auto refresh)

    53 per tick regen...war ftw!

So it appears 50 can be reached...seems pretty situational though.

Every second gain 1TP in exchange for 50HP.

So let's say for the hell of it, a Tarutaru goes out with 2 astral rings, and a whole bunch of other junk that converts HP to MP. Then he dies, now when he's raised he will only have maybe close to 50HP maybe less. Wouldn't the Taru die instantly after being raised? Causing him to constantly die over and over again?

I would think this would work similar to rune axes..

You would stop loosing HP at 1HP, but if you had regen on you would gain 1TP every other tick.

You gain 1 TP per tick but you lose 50 HP, to the person who said you could have regen and go to work... >.>; which item gives +50 HP regen?

even if there was a spell or something that gave that much (maybe Regen potency all the way up somehow) it would wear off and you would die :/ lol

God for i guess if u have like 98 TP and need 2 TP :P

My LS tested how this item works, and to activate the latent effect you simply need to be engaged. The torque raises your TP by 1 TP a tick, and for every 1 TP you gain you lose 50 HP. The torque will kill you if you have less than 50 HP when your TP ticks up.

Holy geez, this thing is DEADLY.

I suppose if you had a Regen item and about a half hour or so you could get to 300%TP while being afk for no work whatsoever.

I heard it subtracts HP every tick and adds to TP, but don't quote me on that. If that's true, it might be nice to put on for a few TP every now and then when you're close to 100, but you'd really need a death wish to wear this for any amount of time.
