strange enough sandorian carrots appear to give the same stats and cost a lot less.

Vomp Carrots focus on Strength and Endurance. San D'orian Carrots focus on all stats but at a very low increase. Since the stat increase from San D'orian carrots is so low, by the end of its life (if fed purely San D'orian carrots) it would have Average or lower stats in all areas, those stats mostly depending on the care schedule and daily activities. Another downside to this is that a lot of the chosen schedules and activities will raise some statistics and lower others, making it somewhat pointless to raise all stats. The best idea when raising a chocobo is to pick a purpose for your chocobo (A speedy runner? A digger?) and work towards that purpose.
Just in case anyone is wondering, they give you -4 vit, and +2 agi. Yeah, *sigh*, I ate chocobo food.

No one has posted any on these in a while, so I thought I would. As expected, the high prices led to mass growing, and prices have stabilized, at least on Bahamut. Vomp carrots are supposed to help raise strength, but I have yet to see a real improvement. I have feed my bird nothing but vomps for it's entire chick life, and now that it is an adolecent, I've got it on a rigorous workout regime. Unfortunatly, I'm not at that point where the working is lowering affection faster than I can raise it through normal care, so now I've switched to azouph greens got you keep my affection at "parent" status.

Full carrots aren't very useful for the chicks. You should use carrot paste for them and switch over when they grow up a little.

i believe that it does in fact make a difference. I have been feeding my Bird nothing but vomp carrots with like 5 a greens in there when i ran out accidentally. my bird is 50days old and has first class STR and above average end. i have been resting her 2-3 days at a time with 2 or 3 days of delivering messages. she has been doing just fine. affection is a little low but i also had her on delivering messages for 7 days in a row and now I'm working on getting that back but its getting there. i think the carrots have helped. but thats my opinion this is my first bird so we will see in the end.

Are you guys forgetting that you can get San d'Orian carrots really cheap as well? I've been giving mine a mix of sandy carrots and Sharug greens and she's pretty fast (the greens are fairly cheap on my server.)

U dont need carrots but if u wanted a easy way of changing your chocobos attributes...carrots is a easy way ...vomp carrots increase physical attributes and zegham carrots increase mental attributes...also san'dora carrots do something aswell....what? im not sure.

you don't really need them but i feel bad if i don't use them. i actually have grown mine and am disgusted at the prices people are selling these for, as well as the various other things we use for our little ones. check peoples bazaars sometimes the prices are way way lower than the ah. in the meantime the greens from the stables do nicely.

Hey darkchasm you dont need to buy carrots to feed your chocobo. Buy Gysahl Greens there sold very cheap in the chocobo stables. You dont need carrots!!!!

Wildgrass seeds are in Aht Urgan I know they're going for 10k a stack on ifrit. but its cheaper to grow this stuff. I think i dropped a good 10k yesterday and only gor 3 things to feed it with... -_- The joys of parent hood.

Omg forget raising chocos i'm growing and cooking O.o
I am lvl 100 cooking and see this as a prime sorce of income... I just got my choco hatched not realizing what i needed to feed it or take care of it.. I go to buy carrot paste thinkin like maybe 2k "lol" 200k each on garuda. My choco is a dead man I dont even make that in gil a week.. so i think to myself ok feed it a carrot. 100k a vomp carrot. zegham carrot 150k thats per carrot This is no joke. So then I start doing the math To keep my choco alive and well for a full 7day rl week its gonna cost 3.5mil a week just in food alone... Anyway I figure I should take this time to cash in and so should everybody else.. Raise the chocos after the price drops dont start it now it's gona kill your poket book. So I say lets Take the gil buyers for a bit of a ride while we can and raise the chocos later... Rather have a full genies set before a choco anyday and at the cost it is now I could get a genie set in a week lol..
