Vegetable Paste 
i looked these items up along with all other items in a.h and cost anywhere from 100k-500k a stack. which is totally insane.
so i decided to grow a crap load of seeds i purchased in aht urghan @ 329 gil each.
all being grown in porcelain pots with different crystals.
ill post my results, in a few days.
fyi this is on queztalcoatl and prices r insane.
i have made a few stacks of vegitable paste, but i would believe those to be bottom of barrell type food since chocobos dont like gyshal greens and that is main ingredient in them.
ill keep u all posted on my growing result if the wildgrass seed, Happy chocobo raising ^^

ok i am a 95 cook and the highest Hq i got was 8 but was not on the day too cook so it might be higher, but i can tell ya i can HQ 8 at a time if that helps out any and farm the dam lizzy eggs in the crawler's nest fool !!!

a stack of lizzy eggs are about 35k on fairy, so I decided to try to farm it myself as 45 THF. Spent close to 2 hours and got one stack - I think the drop rate was around 20% with TH2. I'm probably gonna just buy them now... :p
synthed 12 pastes on darksday with 52 cooking. got 4 HQs with 1 of them for 6 pastes.

no they dont...
you're obviously not farming the right lizards
you need to be hitting lizzies above about level 30... then you'll get often get double drops from one lizard, plus a skin in about 1 in 4 and thats only with TH1.

No... I'm not going to tell you which specific lizzies to farm or where, because I already have enough competition for em ! :)

Someone try normal Bird Eggs instead of the Lizzard ones? Most other crafts working with them a few level higher.

The level on this has to be wrong. I've tried many times and I RARELY get HQ. I know HQ is all chance, but at lvl 71 I should HQ more then freakin the 10% that I am now...

LOL your HQ rate isn't high because you're 1 level away from the 3rd HQ teir. Once you're 51 levels above a recipe cap you're in teir 3 and your average HQ rate will always be the same regardless oh how many more levels you gain. You're only 50 levels above the cap so go for one more and you should see a significant increase in your HQs.
This stuff is 40k a stack on Fairy right now >_< My little chocobo gobbled this stuff up, it's affection level went up a whole level from eating this. Now it says, "As far as affection, it seems that it can't get enough of you." or something like that. My chocobo loves me for this stuff XD.

Has anyone actually HQ'ed this before? I'm lvl 69 cooking and in 7 synths not one HQ! :O

I did a HQ on the 6th one and tried to finish a stack but now I have 2 extra
