-10 EVA is nothing compared to the Evasion equipment you can get nowadays.

Therefore, I do rate this as a pretty good solo'ing knife because of the Weight and its higher than avg proc. rates.

I wonder if all the THF who look at this weapon are 75 with a mandeau, but if you look at this dagger's damage vs delay, it is the 10th best dagger. (almost tied with 9th best against behemoth+1, but I'll give the behemoth the edge thanks to ATK+)

That means the 4th and 5th stage of the Relic Dagger, The Perseus' Harpe, Jambiya +1 and NQ, Behemoth Dagger +1, X's Knife, Sirocco Kukri (Bad on Puks), and Harpe. If you consider Blau pre-100 damage, it is also better than the Magnet Knife.

However, all of the daggers mentionned above, the cheapest is the Jambiya, running at 850k (It beats the Magnet Knife by 1 DMG, same DLY). Everything else is 2 million and above.

The magnet knife, on the other hand, was going for 30k on my server last night (I snagged the two left on AH). It is NOT a soloing weapon, it is NOT an awesome main-hand dagger (base DMG is slightly low -- same as hoplites harpe), it is NOT as good off-hand as Sirocco or Mercurial...

However, it is still "one of the best, cheaper alternatives" for people like me who can't afford to buy 2 million gil+ weapons, or is yet unable to kill the NM for Sirocco (which is, as mentionned above, not good on puks, requiring an alternate option)

Plus, Gravity (Weight) lowers mob's evasion and walking speed. I wouldn't count on it to solo to kite, (and you lose 10 evasion too) but in a party, all DD benifit from a mob being under the effect of gravity.

That's just my 2 cents. I know that unless something good happens to me, I'm set till 75 with those two (for XPing purposes). Soloing, I'll use S.Kukri and Lust Dagger (for the +agi.. r. accuracy and evasion) most likely.

OMG!! YOu make it sound like Blau DOlch is "Kind of good... but cheap crap, really..." Besides upgraded relic daggers, Blau DOlch is HANDS DOWN, the best dagger in the game. In almost all parties these days, no one holds onto TP to sc, they burn it as quickly as possible, therefore the latent (and hidden) effects are active pretty much all the time. And now, getting to the hidden effects... Acc+ 5 and Atk +16 are INCREDIBLE! Also, besides upgraded relic daggers(all relic, really), this has THE HIGHEST DPS of ANY weapon in the game - higher than ANY axe, GA, sword, or especially any other dagger - EVEN HIGHER than P.HARPE!! Which is practically impossible to get. As for the magnet knife.... at 70, this is an EXCELLENT dagger, and makes the H.Harpe Obsolete - it's the same base DMG, and 9 delay faster, AND can cause gravity on the mob. Definitely worth the gil until you level higher and can use Blau DOlch.
where do you get it?

Weight: Gravity; gives them gravity. But it gives you -10 evasion.

This is not too bad, but could hurt you in the long run. If this gave Gravity almost every hit, -10 evasion could be nothing to you. You could simply kite the monster untill it runs out of gravity.

So I don't quite get it. The added effect weight is against the mob when it procs...but the evasion -10 is that against the wielder? or is that a proc thing too? If its against the user this (provided the weight procs frequent enough) could be a pretty nice dagger to cap evasion with. Mob hits and hits get a couple evasion skillups...hp low, run away from weighted mob. Just a thought.
