What are people buying these for? On fenrir, a stack goes for 3k. And the sell quite fast. So I'm wonder what people are using them for exactly.

3 beehive chips + fire crystal = 1 beeswax, which can be used for quite a few good synths.
you forgot the distilled water
i farmed these for 1 day for about 2-3 hours and got 6 stacks and made 22k. the best places to farm them are north gustaberg and la theine plateau

Exactly how rare are these? I've been stalking Giant Hornets in Gustaberg for 3 days now, and I haven't seen even a single one.
i'm from bastok originally, and now at lvl 15 i've NEVER had a giant hornet drop chips. you need to kill the maneating hornets to get chips. either on the hill (zegham or vomp) or get into the highlands.

this can drop from ANY bee type mob ive come across in every area ive found.
Giddeus, Rollanberry Fields, East and West Sarutabaruta, N/S ustaberg, E/W ronferu, canyons, plateau, etc. And the bees can drop, Honey, Beehive Chips, Giant Stinger, rarrab tails(the plant) and Wind crystals.

I've been collecting these for the past 4 days now.. the best place i've found to get them are on the hill in north gusta. I get about 5 stacks and then go sell them. get a thf and start killing. takes me about 2 hours to get 5 stacks. so in 2 hours i make 15,000 gil. Depends on how well your server is selling these to turn a big profit.

Maneating wasps drop these alot i got about 1 full stack an hour on the hill in S.Gustaberg. learn alchemy and make them into beeswax, sells for a ton!

These drop from all bee type mobs but rare. Best to be tthe honey pots and sell them and then buy the Beeswax or Chips a the AH.

Maneating Hornets drop the behive chips too. Although, I have only had it happen to me once.
