feelings were
fairly sure and terrible feeling

was very easy for me to reel in as a lvl 79 fisherman but was only able to get 8 out of 2 stacks of bait. majority of other catches were monsters

you can catch them at 'The Oasis of Hubol' in west altepa, although you'll hook a monster more often than not.

I went to the very bottom of the Fall F-7
used Lu Shangs Rod and Minnow
caught 26 Gavial fish in an hour no problem...
don't waste your time trying any of the other baits
Minnow works the best and is cheap.

Right now i'm a lvl 50+4 Fisher on Odin. Since Gavial Fish is this weeks entry for the fishing chart in Selbina i decided to try if i can catch these.

I went down to the Drachenfalls in North Gustaberg, position (F-7). You have to go through Dangruf Wadi to get to this place (same way as for the THF AF1 headgear NM fight).

I used a Lu Shang's Fishing Rod together with Meatballs as bait.

With 2 stacks meatballs i got 13 Gavial Fish, the rest was monsters and some rusty item. And one 0,1 skill up. *^.^* I got much 'You didn't catch anything.' whil fishing here. But the fish was easy to catch for me. Stamina went down a little bit slow but steadly and i had no problem to get the fish to zero stamina and pull it out of the water. I havn't lost one fish.

Oh, and it was Lights Day, 62% Waxing Gibbous.

Anyone know how much these are in the guild?

Edit: I just looked and they aren't even listed. I'm guessing they only appear if someone actually sells them to the guild :c O well.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

@level 59 with Lu shang + minnow
i find them much easier to catch then Squid or blacksoles. they have a ton of stamina but they dont fight really hard. i have more then enough time to drain them completely.

Well tried fishing for these down below by the waterfall (pos f-7) and these are harder to catch then black sole or giant squid. I'm level 76 fishing using meatball.

What are these used for? They sell really fast for 3k each on Ragnarok, even more pricey on other servers.

But the only recipe known gives as a result Fish Scales(with yield ONE...) which can be bought virtually for NOTHING from NPC...looks like there's some secret recipe that use them...

The hq of this item is "High Quality Pugil Scales"*. There are also multiple levels of hq, the higher levels giving larger quantities.

I spent six hours here on the bridge at the bottom of Drachenfall with a fishing skill 55+4 using a composite rod, and 8 stacks of peeled crayfish.

So far I have caught 30 Black Eel, 23 Rusty Buckets and 0 Gavial Fish.

I found a site that lists the location as the Cascade (waterfall) in North Gustaburg. I'm not sure if it would be at the top of the cliff, or at the base where you get the water for the Drechenfall quest in Bastok.

Edit: also listed as Big Fish.. use Peeled Crayfish or Meatball and appropriate rod.
