You think for something as widely used as Fire crystals these would be worth more. Stack goes for 800-1000 gil on my server.

Well, Earth Crystals are so common that it's not IMO. Same with Wind, though they are about 10K on my server (Bahamut)

Common? I get just as many crystals of any other kind if I level in an area with a particular type of mob and Signet.

BTW, Fire crystals are 3k on Leviathan and Wind are 1k.

Ok... I've heard it all over the place from many different ppl... Does facing the Titan Star (or earth star, w/e) actually help in synthing w/ the earth crystal or is it just a myth? Alot of ppl are superstitious and I want to be certain. :)
Oh and if its true which way should i face to be looking at the star? Thanks :)

Completely false. Not only has SE never released any information on the like, but the test results I have read do not show a "significant" difference in results. The variations in the results was minimal at best and is accounted for due to sheer randomization. I firmly believe that people have far over-exaggerated this "theory" and have led themselves to believe there is more to it than there really is. I have many crafting friends at 90+ that will say that it does not make the slightest bit of difference which direction you face.

I have also logged over 1000 synths, none of which has shown any indication that direction plays any role in synthesis results. If direction does anything to synths, then its impact is less than 10%, and furthermore, we don't know what it is. By this I mean that even if contradictory to the results of all meaningful testing, direction does affect synthesis, it may very well affect it in a way opposite to what we think, i.e., the commonly used direction chart could be totally backwards.

I have found facing in different directions does impact the results. When using earth I would recommend facing southeast (wind) south (earth) north (dark) or northeast (light). I also wonder if you are using the synth to skill up on or to craft HQ. I find the most skill ups happen during the full moon and higher HQ results during New moon phases. I have been told to either face the element of the crystal your using or the one strong to it for either HQ or skill up (not sure which is which) or a neutral direction like light and Dark. I have found that the time of fenrir day has an impact as well. while skilling up on yagudo drinks (dark crystal) I found more breaks happen facing north during the day and northeast during the night. I also got the most skill up when facing the Northeast (light) which was the element strong to the dark crystal i was using. The HQ results didn't happen since it was juice. hope this helps
