Wild Onions come from Goblin Thugs in the Horororootototo ruins. They are easy as pie to kill. ***** in SC are harder but if you have a high enough job, they are easy as pie to kill too. Those are the only two expensive ingredients.
You can make these for nearly nothing if you have the proper cooking skill. Cooking is fairly cheap to level if you don't have it. NPC's supply a lot of ingredients if you have time to look it all up.
Whiney == Lazy in my book. When I see people whine about prices, I just know they are lazy. No handouts here with the exception of the above information. Yeah it takes time but it's a good investment. Cook to keep your own consumables at a low price. You won't make a ton of money cooking and farming but you will keep your own food budget down.
Lol, you're all moaning at the cockatrice stacks being expensive at 20k. Here on Asura it's 90-100k for a single stack. The price of kabobs has halved from 25k and wild onions are 30k per stack... lol
AH, BACK IN THE DAY THEY USED TO FALL OUT OF THE SKY AND THEY WERE JUST LYING AROUND ON THE GROUND FOR ANYONE TO WALK BY AND JUST PICK UP AND EAT AND THEY GAVE LIKE +2135 TO EVERYTHING AND THERE WASN'T EVEN FFXI YET IT WAS WHEN US ORIGINAL CITIZENS OF SAN D'ORIA COULD JUST WANDER AROUND VANADIEL WITHOUT HAVING TO LISTEN TO A BUNCH OF ******** SHOUTING FOR TELEPORTS
i made a charcter in windurst who is know spending time cooking. im going to get him to the proper lvl to make this cause on asura they sell for 12-15k per stack. he has some time to gi before he reaches it though...
o yes asura is the worse i hate it here, all of our GS'ers or most got banned so u see fliters of low lvl lvling up for hours everywhere in groups of anon no ls parties, the prices will go up on christmas SH=12mil on X-mas in asura and it is crazy so if ur in asura i recommend u buy all u can now while SH is about 2.5mil-3mil for x-mas to sell for ALOT of money, have a good one all
When does the attack modifier kick in since the food change? Becuase it sure as hell doesnt give the bonus before level 30 anymore.
Just so everyone knows who takes the time to read these things....
Don't listen to this person, they don't know what they are talking about.
I got hooked on the Mithkabobs soloing my Dragoon, and so naturally I use em while leveling my Samurai. Even at Level 12 these things still gave a boost, though it was only a 14 or 15 ATT boost. But as I am currently a Level 24 Samurai they are giving me a +24 ATT boost.
Also these things are giving me a +61 ATT (not 60) @60 on my Dragoon, but that was before I got a pt and Capped my Polearm and leveled. And I haven't had a chance to test how much they give me now, since my ATT is about 15 above what it was base from when I was soloing using these things. So I will get back on here when I get back on, and post up what exactly they give now.
But even so, even if it is a fluke that I got +61 ATT with these things, it was still +60.5 ATT. Which is more than posted here as the max it will give.
No no. what i was asking what LEVEL did the actual attk modifier kick in. Already found out that it's either 40 or 45 when it actually gives you the attk bonus.
It varies by character, most food increases your attack on a % basis with a limit to that amount, better foods have higher %s and caps, so it depends on your Attack, not level.
This stuff is great and all, but its not worth much if you can;t hit the mob worth a lick. I suggest some DEX food Which are cheaper. The dmg over time will almost be equal to this.
ppl use sole sushi @ around 50 usually... drks should use acc food as much as possible, jack-o-lanterns have +10 acc and are cheap + are three hour food. i was lucky to find sole sushi for 47k on asura ^^
Wow Ifrit server makes a prfoit off this synth still, Ramuh does not. The kabobs sell for 4k-5k per stack This is the cost to purchase said ingrediants. Fire Crystal 5k Cockatrice Meat 16k Wild Onions 8k Mhaura Garlic 2k Kazham Peppers 1.5k
Fenrir prices are: kabobs 4-5k in Bastok Windy sandy 5-6k in jeuno Cockatrice meat 12-15k stack Wild onions 8-11k stack Khazam Peppers (sold in Khazam) Garlic sold at regional vendor. Fire Crystals tend to be cheaper in jeuno and sandy i can rarelt get stacks for 3-3.5k but normally 4-5k stack Chiefs are going for 20k-ish stack the price quotes you provided somewhat odd, since the cost to make a normal stack would be 5400ish not including the cost to AH it. unless your server is flooded with cooks making money from there HQ your cooks will be losing money. You could try to be frugal and buy singles of the onions and meats i get onions from 300-700 each and meat I can get for 800-1k each. and remember to shop around for the best prices. The onions are rarely sold at cooking guild and do drop off goblins thug type mobs.
#REDACTED,
Posted:Feb 14 2005 at 6:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I for one am very happy that these cooking prices have gone up. Its about time SOMEONE has made it harder for crafters to make insane profits ^.^
My cooking is lvl 49 and I have lost money an almost everything to skill up to that point except insect paste. So don't give us this crap that we made insane profits. True you can make money later but nowhere near as much as any of the other crafts. So STFU.
I'm not even going to bother synthing this I'm Currently lv 30 cooking and if I need meat for my war I make Dhalmel Steaks instead in the field. As for leveling up cooking I'm doing Meatballs lol 500 for 12 and sell like crazy.
Do be aware that most of the food items have limited or reduced affects based on if your level is too high or too low for the food. I am posting the link to the updated food effects below.
I hate this change!! cost of making 72 mithkabobs on Valefor: 15k : Cockatrice Meat 7k : Wild Onions 1.8k : Kazham Peppers 2k : Mhaura Garlic 4k : Fire Crystals
29800 : Total
Sell 12 for : 4500 In Auction House
4500 x 6 = 27000
27000 - 29800 = -2800 profit :(
Bazaar - 500 each = 72 x 500 = 36000
Profit from hours of waiting selling in Bazaar =
36000 - 29800 = 6200 :(
I hate this change please please change it back to before when i get 12 from 1 synth! where i made 26000 profit from each 12 synths!!!! AArgh!!
It's like that with a lot of goldsmithing too (at least at my lvl) like silver rings cost over 5k to make and in Jeuno they sell for 2k. People alwase say like well if you farmed/mined you would make a profit, but that means that if you sold those materials you farmed/mined you'd get more than if you synthed them.
i agree with you there lightning.... i said the same thing in my post further down... but ppl just told me "to stop whining and stop making mithkabobs, and the price will go up as supply slows" well.... been how many months now? prices haven't changed enough fer me to profit again yet... (unless i spend hrs selling in my bazaar in dunes.... where i'm begged to PL or raise ppl every 2 seconds... even when i'm /anon >.< )
hmmmm, one day i was spending about 2500 on 12 stacks, the next time i logged on 5k. unfortunately i can't blame SE for this, as they are just trying to even out the crumbling economy caused by those damm gil sellers. yes i mean DAMM GIL SELLERS! if that means you, then oh well. i dont pay monthly so you ***** can ruin my gaming action. i can actually remember when not everyone had to have the BEST gear for 300k(one pair of shoes). and i thought we were suppose to be working together in this game.....not ripping each other off. maybe i misinterpreted the idea of "FUN".
btw, Squeenix did absolutely nothing to get rid of gilsellers, seeing as they just camp cheaper stuff now, i see gilselling partys camping the faerie shield and holy phial NMs now, and i know they are gilsellers because of their weird yet very similar chinese names, all with the same ending. and im not trying to say all gilsellers are chinese because thats far from true, but on Cait Sith server there are at least 3 partys ive seen whos names had the same beginning or end, and i know one of them was botting Stroper Chymes in ordelles, names all started with Hero, and ended with two letters, such as Herotd.
