Ok so I've been reading past posts and sounds like these used to be and ok-decent drop from the killer shrooms, but now it sucks. I took my 75thf friend with AFv2 TH setup and headed off to CN to farm. I swear we killed close to 400 and got only 1 after a combined 6 hours on 2 separate days. I'm trying to level my cooking off these instead of dragon meat but with the drop rate being so sucky I getting really discouraged.

I came upon this item by chance when i was lvling my cooking skill, so i decided since i had never heard of the King Truffle but saw that they sold for 300k a stsck, i would go check these killer mushrooms out. Ok im lvl 60 Thf/nin
and with TH2 these guys are droppping all sorts of goodies. i would say 1/6 on truffle which isnt bad at all, 4/6 woozyshrooms, (5k stack) 3/6 Danceshrooms
(10k stack) and also sleepshrooms can be stolen from these mobs and they sell for 15k stack so all n all i can prolly farm 100k every hour here which is hard to beat. This camp is even more so awesome becasue ive been here for 2 days now and saw only one other person, a summoner, come in and kill a mushroom. i traded my truffles to her for a little less than ah price and sent her packing lol.

I have found 3 of these so far while Harvesting in Yuhtunga Jungle ^^, looking for more, they are selling for 30k+ each on Leviaton server. Havent dug any up with Chocobo but if i do it would be cool too :)

I also got the King Truffle yesterday when I was soloing the Killer mushrooms in CN. How much is it worth anyway?

after months of trying to lvl choco digging, went from lvl 2-4 in < 2 weeks (spent 2 months on lvl 2)... and dug up one of these and a petrified log on my first trip back to Yuhtunga after getting lvl 4.

I'm pretty sure I can solo these as a 47-50 RDM. Right now I'm a 45 and I went to CN to help a LS mate get a few for Cooking GP. I could keep Stoneskin and Phalanx up against these, they didn't wear through them too quickly. Refresh balanced it out. When they did get through they'd hit for about 35-40 damage. It would take a long time for me as a 47, but I'm pretty sure I could do it. If I was 50 and subbed 25 Ninja I could practically farm these. Watch out for links, the Killer Mushrooms link.

I'm levelling my Beastmaster in CN now on Scorpions & Killer Mushrooms (lvl43-45 exp BST).

I killed many mushrooms yesterday, didnt get this, today the first one i killed (after i got millionaire desk mind you :P) I got it.

Yeah i saw a Killer Mushroom in CN. Make like your standing in the big 'ball' room. Not in the lower left hand tunnel that heads back to the entrance, but the next tunnel up from that one that's where i saw it. But i didn't get too close cause mobs with 'killer' in their name probably aggro and i was solo.

I got this as a drop off a Killer Mushroom in Crawler's Nest.

Also, these do stack, AH has listings for singles and stacks of 12.

I believe it's dug up by chocobos, but I'm not positive, though it would make sense since truffles are rooted up by trained animals. It might also be grown, but that's only a guess
