It usually makes it easier for crafters (an Alchemist, in this case) to know if or even how to respond to this post if you let them know what server you are on...

this sword is alrite im lvl 14 war and im hittin for atleast 45 every time and also the added effect kicks in like every 7 swings or so its not as bad as u guys are making out
I have this sword and I love it. I am a WAR/WHM now and keep my tag of Backup Tank and Healer up for searches. And no wonder that tag works so good, with dmg like this, and 50 mp in healing to use, one flinch by the mob and one Provoke from me and the mob doesnt even look at a mage.
Warning, not very effective to try if your tired or early in the morning, since you really have to heal and voke and deal dmg all as the opportunities present themselves. Oh, and cap that GSD skill before trying. I miss a lot; and the flame dmg really is like an occasional thing.

Im a lvl 16 Drk and I love this sword. Yes when you look at it on paper it looks great and when you first get in battle it is nothing specail. Now that my GS lvl is capped i get fire dam about every 5 swings. I am elvaan male, not that that matters but I hope you can understand my love for GS. I just love going into battle with a 6 foot sword makes me fell like a stronger elvaan! :) ^^

DRK should be using Scythe at this level, not GS. You should start using Scythe/GS combo post-20. The Legionnaire's Scythe adds 2 to STR and has a little better damage, and it's 3 levels lower.
PLD shouldn't be using GS except for solo, since the PLD is defensive. Groups prefer them to have sword and shield, because of the shields added DEF bonuses, and Shield Bash.
WAR is probably the only class who should be using this, but WAR isn't really built for pure damage. WAR usually ends up being the tank in a group.
DRK - Stick with Scythes. Guilliotine is your friend.

1st off you have no right to tell ppl what to use and what not to
Ill use GS as DRK as much as i damn well please. just becuase a weapon has more DMG doesnt make it better GS have lower delay and while they hit for less they hit more often
also Scythe Weapon Skills blow for the dunes and GS Power Slash pwns here
2nd PLDs can use GS, sword and shield, or Staffs if you ever got a job 51+ you may know that
most WARs i meet use G axe. im not a big fan of it but alot of others like there 300+ damage Sturmwind so whatever works for you

This is available for 6-7k on the Bahamut server. Note - The added fire damage allmost never appears. Youd take less time leveling DRK main and RDM sub for Enfire and still do more added fire damage in all that time it took. Damage value is nice but only good till 18-20 providing you can afford a Braveheart or Two-Handed Sword.

Lmao, your all doing it the hard way(AH isnt the best place to get stuff). I got this sword for less then 1,500. All i did was shouted to see if anyone would make a flame claymore for me, someone replyed and asked if i had the materials, i said yeah. he came to me, i gave him the stuff and he crafted it for me, cept it came out burning claymore(exeptional result) he gave me the sword and now im happy with it.
Ok, right now im level 14 and my GS skill is capped for my level. i do fire damage about every 20 swings. I hit Orcish grunts and stuff for about 40-55. No, im not an Elvaan, im a hume(Jus so you guys cant come up with excuses). You jus gotta cap your weapon skill for your level for the best performance.

I just purchased this sword at the AH and was pretty excited to see what it can do. Needless to say, it was a disappointing experience. The damage was ok, but not when you have to deal with that long delay. And so far after 3 hours, I have seen it do about 2 Additional Fire damages. Overall a disappointing weapon, I would advise against it.

Used this sword for 2 levels. I only saw fire damage THREE (yes 3) times).
