If your lazy like me. When you get to 30 cooking you can buy this from the guild shop and use it to advance instead of hunting items. Frost Turnips are rough to come by and farming them from 60+ mobs is not worth it lol

I synthed this today for my Novice exam, the recipe here is listed wrong.

Instead of sandy flour you need Taru rice... hope that helps.

If you plan on using the recipe with Batagreens, you have to use tarutaru rice instead of San'doria flour. If you want to use beaugreens, use Sandy flour. The first recipe is slightly off ;;. hope that helps

I'm from Windurst and the time to uncap my cooking skill just come ;o
I was just trying this recipe and couldn't make it with: Rarab Tail x1, Chamomile x1, Frost Turnip x1, San d'Orian Flour x1, Batagreens x1, Distilled Water x1
So after a few tries and getting the message of:
"Synthesis canceled. That combination of materials cannot be synthesized."

I decided to try it again but using Beugreens instead of Batagreens; and got the Vegetable Gruel finally.
So this recipe: Rarab Tail x1, Chamomile x1, Frost Turnip x1, San d'Orian Flour x1, Beugreens x1, Distilled Water x1
worked for me :3

Okay, it would seem that no one is wrong. Tarutaru Rice, San d'Orian Flour, Batagreens, and Beugreens are all ingredients for this food item. The ingredients needed seems to vary from person to person, and I am not sure what determines this. If you look at the description, it clearly states that it is made from a variety of vegetables, and flour or rice. I hope this clears everything up for everyone.

Recipe with Tarutaru rice did not work for me. said "syntesis canceled. That combination of materials cannot be syntesized." I had to use the San d'orian flour.

You will need to make this item to break the lvl 30 cooking cap. I don't believe this item is purchasable from NPCs.

I did the recipe with the Beaugreens for the culinarian guildmaster:

The 1st time a obtained the medical gruel and the 2nd time I created the vegetable gruel.

And indeed Batagreens does not work ^^

I have the guy in the guild give my this recipe when I was lv 17. I think the one who gives you the high level stuff only give you the stuff that is higher than you are a bit not a lot 17->26

Have to correct myself: The recipt above is the needed/right one and works.

Still no clue how i got the medicinal gruel cause i am quite sure i used the same/right items like for the vegatable gruel.
