Synth/to take materials and make something new.

DeSynth/To Take Something new and break it down into its original materials.

Moghancement Desynth/Better chances of getting the desynth right and better chance of loosing less materials.

Moghancement Synth/Better chances of getting the Synth right and better chance of loosing less materials.

To gett these you must have the right furniture.
To use the key item u must place the furniture in your mog safe then go to lay out and place the furniture around your mog hosue at any location.

Then exit lay out and you will see the moghance ment you have gotten.

Like Moghancement Experience from any type of bed or Moghancement Desynthesize from Bookholder.

Well if anyone else has any more dumb questions just place em and ill answer them.

Cya all later and have fun figuring out all the furniture and the combos of furniture to get best results. *wave*

No the Moghancement: Desynthesizing gives you a better success success rate with desynthesizing... which is taking a complex item and breaking it down to a simpler form, usually raw materials. For example Yago Necklace with wind crystals turns into 3 spools of grass is great example desynthesizing.

Actually this formula (1 yaguda necklace + wind crystal) is a synthesis and not a desynth. You can tell by the statement that it gives when you succeed. If it says " [your name here] synthesised a ...." then it is a synthesis. If it says " [your name here] obtained (or some other word like that i can't remember) a ...." then it is a desynth.

what is the desynthesis thing that they recently added?

Desynthesis is a "Moghancment" that i belive is given by the painting. It increases the chance of a sucess while Shynthizising. The moghancment shows up as a key item so check there on whiether u have it or not.

No, Moghancement: Desynthesis doesn't help with synthesis it just helps you lose less when the synth fails.

desynth moghancement effects your success rate on desynths, lightning moghancement helps u not lose items when a desynth fails.

Then what's the difference between:

Moghancement: Lightning - Reduces the chances of losing materials when systhesis attempts utilizing a lightning crystal have failed.

Moghancement: Desynthesis - When you fail using lightning crystal less chance of losing material

I was under the impression that Desynthesis helped with success...not just loss of items...

Actually desynth is using a lightning crystal to effectively break something apart.

Lightning doesn't technically help. Its just because MOST desynths use lightning TO desynth. Like if you had a majority of FIRE in your MH, then when you do a Fire crystal synth and FAIL, you have a better chance of not losing everything.
Same with desynths, only you're using Lightning crystal and lightning element in MH.
Furnishings that give improvements to synth or desynth means that you have a better chance of Succeeding!

Oh snap, Bytor said something smart. XD

I believe that as of the December 15th update, that this item adds 4 slots to your "storage" inventory. It's either that or the brass bed or ceramic pots that I have, so I'm guessing it's the painting...
No, every item in layout only adds one storage

People keep making these mistakes. They think they have a chest, so it adds four even though they have 3 buckets. In this case the brass bed, ceramic pots and your painting are all adding ONE STORAGE EACH.

EVERY ITEM you put in layout now gives you ONE storage. So essentially its the same as if they made items you put in layout no longer take up mog safe space.

Its a ONE for ONE exchange of the item in layout, which still takes up the mog safe, with some OTHER item in the mog safe (not in layout) which you can put in storage.

So all items you put in layout only give one storage. Its a clumsy odd way of essentially making it so in the long run furniture does not take up mog safe space, nothing more.

Just a note:

At the time natsuko posted this, he was 100% correct: every item added exactly 1 storage. This was added in the December 16, 2003 update.

At the February 26, 2004 update, this was changed: Furnishing Features (info on the furnishing features added in the February 26th update, scroll down to find out about the increased storage space).

So, yes - originally, every item granted only 1 storage slot. As of February 26th, items can grant additional storage slots, but all furnishing grants at least one slot.

Not EVERY item. For example, Waste Baskets give 3 storage. I'm sure there are other items that grant more than one Storage slot, otherwise why bother listing it in the item description?

What is the purpose of the Ancient Blood? Is there anything worthwhile from this item? I'm putting this quest off since I cannot find a good reason to do this. I don't have a lot of room in my Mog House or inventory, so I'll hold off on item obtaining quests unless they are equipment that I can use and sell. I half of the items that I'm holding in my are for switching between jobs. It's pretty sad when I had to send some items to my RL friends so they can hold onto the items for me, but they don't mind since they can use the items so it's all good for everyone.

You can do it for the fame. Even if you have max fame, there is still a bit of price lowering from NPCs beyond hero status. Other than that, you can put the painting in your house or sell it.

It's one of the items for your house. You can hang the picture on the wall, just for fun :P

BTW you have to have the item in your Mog Safe
