Is there a quicker way to do this quest? I have to spend a lot of time trying to get enough money from this quest...And one more thing, how many Clocks can you have on you at one time?

The clock *can* be sent thru the delivery system though, so you can store a bunch there. Send them to yourself, then when you've had enough running back and forth to bernie, you can run back and forth from the MH around the corner from the NPC who takes the clocks.

If money is all you're interested in (and not the fame) check the AH prices too -- the clocks ARE sellable -- going for 1500 gil on Seraph today, and the AH is a lot closer than the NPC.

Of course, if you've got a partner there are plenty of other possibilities....

...and none are the best ways to make money.

[edit] BTW, i haven't tried, but since someone asked: i'm pretty sure you CAN'T put this in your MH -- it's not a furnishing.

The fastest way I've found requires you to have warp (level 17 BLM spell) and the Back Alleys quest for Bastok completed:

1. Set your home point at the northern residential area exit in Bastok Markets
2. Use the back alleys route to go to Bastok Mines
3. Run to the lighthouse
4. Kill Bernie
5. Warp back to HP
6. Turn in the clock
7. Warp back to HP
8. Rinse & repeat

I can easily make 5k an hour (including the cost of quus, 1k per stack) following this process. The fame doesn't hurt either. ^^

Oh, and you can only carry one clock at a time.
furnishing too?

You give this to Madene for a reward. Bastok Market area near the Scroll Shop.
