As many people know, only TH4 effects Rare/Ex drops. These seals are EX, so TH3 or lower will not effect it. You need Thief 75 with the right gear to get these drops faster. Unless you are already (or know someone who is) Thief with TH4 then it is not really worth it, in the time it takes to get TH4 you can just farm seals to make up for it.

I'm Curious, whats the most Beastmen/Kindred Seals you or anyone you know has been in posession of at any given time... I will break 1200BS and 1200KS this month.. the next closest I have heard of is 800BS.

Is it me or has these things harder to get after the new update came out i solo and party every day and i have gotten i think 5 in a week.

For anyone new, dont drop these, try to save em up, you'll probably be wanting them. And be careful not to drop any if theyre in youre inventory (I just lost 50+ the other day on accident).

These are used for various BCNM (Burning Circle Notorious Monster) Fights. Most BCNMs have a number attached to them. ie: BCNM 20, BCNM 30, etc. The number after the BCNM indicates the level cap that the fight is placed at as well as the number of beastmen's seals that you need in order to enter. In order to use your beastmen's seals though, you have to trade a certain number to Shami, an NPC in Port Jeuno (H-8). You trade a certain number of them equal to whatever BCNM you want to do. (BCNM 20, you trade 20 seals to him) He will give you an orb based on however many orbs you traded him. You then go to the corresponding place in Vanadiel where that BCNM is and trade that orb to a burning circle that is there. Upon doing so, you and your party members will enter an area where you fight anywhere from one to several mobs. (note: on some BCNMs there is a limit to the number of people that are allowed to enter.) Once/if all the mobs are defeated, you will et a chest. Opening the chest yields a random assortment of items based on whatever BCNM you did. Many people use BCNMs to make money, and according to your luck at the drops it can be very profitable. For more information on BCNMs, their locations, drops, etc, you can go to http://ffxi.cannotlinkto/bcnm/ . I've found this page to be very helpful.

One little Problem with your statment. Many EX items can be sold in bazaars. Take the Orcish axe for example. it was the best way to make money from levels 4-10 for my character because it sold for around 150gil.

Actually, I think you are thinking of selling to a NPC for that amount. No EX item can be sold in a bazaar, but some can be sold to NPCs.

Get a level 30+ job and jump into a promy area, I go to promy dem and farm with my nin/war
Okay, so I've learned something about storage almost. If I buy certain furniture I can stack these in storage? Just what furniture do I buy? And of course I want the cheepest thing. I'm started woodcrafting and I made a workbench and put it in my mog but that doesn't let me use the storage option. Note, I'm a logger and every ounce of space counts. I ran out of room in my mog storage (and yes I sort continually) ages ago and I'm only a lvl 13 WAR. Don't advice me to synth my logs. The crystal pops and the log is lost more than it is worth. I synth what the NPC tells me to so my crystal wont pop.
MY QUESTION IS WHAT CHEEP PIECE OF FURNITURE WILL STORE BEASTMEN SEALS???

You need to layout your furniture before you can store stuff.
Also in regards to which is the cheapest/best furniture I'm sorry thats not really easy to answer.
Each element offers a mog-enhancment of sometype and each piece of furniture has a storage space amount - I suggest looking at Auction house and making the judgement yourself.
Also you should note that you can only have 1 mog enhancement type - so take this into account.

OK the Furnishing go into Mog safe, and then must be placed before the number of Storage slots open, (you can have a max of 80 storage) the cheapest way to get maximun storage is buying water jugs from raboa (40 will fill room and give you water enhancement) more than 80 storage slots is just a waste.

are the key to Hidden Treasures....Why camp NMs for countless hours with fierce competition while you could be doin BCNMs...a Lot more of a controlled environment,and not as easy to get the real goods like the "Peacock Charm,Leaping Boots,Emperor Hairpin..." but damn sure it's alot of fun!Keep stacking them and trade them to Shami in Lower Jeuno by one of the Stairways to the AH;get your desired Orbs and Master those BCNMs!I do recommend you read about the BCNM battles in the Allakhazam Links though,get to know what you up against...but if you're tired of camping NMs with great Disappointment,try the

Promies are by far the best place to get Beastmen's Seals. Just go to the bottom level of any of the promies with a lvl30+ job. Everything will rate EP so they're quick kills and good drop rate on seals. I discovered this when we were farming Recollections in Promyvion-Holla. Happy hunting. ^^

Yeah, uh... I'd like to see you try to get to the higher levels without CoP. No one ever wants to level anywhere other than Bibiki Bay anymore these days, it seems. <.<

I have two suggestions for you.
1) buy CoP, if you are paying 13 bucks or so a month for online play, that means you are paying a monthly fee for internet connection also, which also means that you can afford CoP.
2) If you wish to continue to be a lazy (insert word here) and do not wish to buy CoP. Level Beastmaster. Majority of Beastmaster play is spent solo, and you fight alot of mobs and all drops go to you, not spread amongst 6 people in your party. You will accumulate hundreds of beastmen seals just levelling Bst to ~30-40.

Hmmm... I was thinking about getting a buddy or 2 (rng perhaps?) and try farming beastmen seals in promyvion areas, because the mobs at the beginning of easier promys, like dem are pretty weak and don't drop anything except memory remenants and beastmen seals.

LOL, I feel alot better now. I have been playin for over a year. For the first, I dont know, 2 months, I must have had 40 or 50 seals. I came to the conclusion that, they were useless to me. So I chucked them all, :( . But I have done some BCNM's and now I am addicted to them, big time money in relatively short time. may take a couple hours depending on how many battles you do. I recommend doin BCNM 40 Balga's Dais in giddeus, for 1 you can make over 700k per fight, probably more like 400k but still great, and 2 the fight is really simple as long as you have a bard.

If you are on PS2 when in your safe, press the Triangle button and select Auto-sort. These seal stack to 99 then starts a new stack. PC CMD? I don't know the controls >.>

Open the main option with the minus "-" with arrow buttons select Items. See upper right the system tell you the option. In Items press "+" they system ask you if you to re-sort manually or auto with the arrow botton select yes...you done. Do the same thing went you re-arrange the magics. Also you can arrange manually. In the safe is the same think.

Seals also drop from easy prey as well. I find it nice and easy to get a decent amount seals by... getting a Rng/??? and find some EP worms, couple arrows with a fast delay bow & arrow should be quick to just run and shoot. although just my opinion.

I dont think a signet has anything to do with these droping. I think it is simply a matter of what you are fighting. If you get exp, then you can get beastmen seals. If you dont get exp from the kill, then you dont get a seal.
The signet has 2 purposes...
1. Conquest
Conquest points & Region Control
2. Crystals
Elementals drop clusters and crystals. but
they only drop crystals if you get exp from
them. they drop clusters almost all the
time whether or not you get exp.
I enjoy having a signet on all the time, so I may be blowing smoke out my ass, but last I heard, signets didnt affect beasty seals

You just had a bad luck probably. I's getting seals with and without signet in regions controlled by a nation as well as in regions controlled by beasmens. And after I started to work on my TH I get them often.
Pretty much every monster you face pre-level 50 drops these suckers.

The easiest way to get these is to equip a low lvl job and solo around your home nation to whichever area you solo in around lvl 10(Konshtact Highlands, La thiene, etc) Goblins seem to drop these more than any other monsters....in my own experience, im not saying they really do, its just what ive seen...
when you get enuf of these orbs you can trade them to an NPC in port jeuno for BCNM orbs, which lead to battles with monsters that drop very rare (and expensive) items.

A LS friend of mine said that there's an NPC somewhere that will give you 600 gil for every Beastmen's Seal you give him. Does anyone know if this is true, or should I kick him out of the LS for being a lying bastard?
Its actually beastCOINS and yes he will give you 600gil for one. Dont kick him he just misunderstodd :P. Beastcoins are very rare and sometimes sell better on the AH for more then this NPC is willing to give. I believe his in one of the port towns.. Ill check the strat guide.

The quest is in Mhaura, and he only gives gil for sets of eight and it's a worthless amount of gil anyways, if you only need the gil he'll give, sell one and toss the other 7, it's about the same amount. it's like 600 for 8 Mythril Beastcoins and such. Those are 1,000-1,200 on the AH in Ragnarok.

I really wish i knew about these in the beginning of the game!!! i must of threw away 2 stacks before i knew to keep them! my LS just did BCNM 40 6 times and got 1.5 million gil. ARGGG !!! i was soooo mad! im going to get on my ninja (10) and go through noob zones killing all EP that give 7-12 exp so i can get a stack or too. i need those so badly cause i need to save up for the spirits for my smn.

I didn't throw any away just cause i knew they must have some purpose and they stacked past 12...so i didnt have a problem keeping them, now ive done many BCNMs and got plenty of gil lol :P Guess i was just smart :P

lol i think i had it worst >< i didnt get to play very much when i first started the game and i think i ended up thowing away maybe 10 stacks before i new better >< stupid me lol
why do they even list th e mobs that drop these? every mob in the game does, like every mob over lvl 50 drops kindreds.

These Seals are used to enter a battlefield to fight a NM. Depending on the type of BCNM, you will need a different amount of Seals. You get the amount of seals of the BCNM you wish to enter, then you trade it in for a Orb by a NPC in Port Jeuno. Afterwards you trade the Orb depending on the area of the BCNM. And then you battle the BCNM. Some BCNM lets you have 6 members in a party. Others don't, again depending on the BCNM again. Every BCNM drop a rare item, but its not a 100% sure. Depending on your luck. ^^ I just gave an explaination on what the Seals are for. Hope these gives you a Basic idea. (KeyWord: Basic)

I only have about 90 of these atm.. saving them for when im strong enough to fight the lvl 40-60 BCNMs.. i wish i had known that they werent worthless when i was still a noob.. probably dropped about 30-40 seals before somebody told me to save them for orbs..

the EX means they are Exclusive so you can't sell/trade them ... keep stacking them tho, you will be able to use them for BCNMs ...

grab a strong melee job, i.e.- War, sam, nin ect... Start at lvl 1 and use a meat mithkabob and slash away anything that checks as easy prey. Raising low level jobs is the fastests way to recieve Beastseals in my opinion. SO you could raise all your jobs up to 15 or so. At somepoint in time solo becomes too much of a waste of time at higher lvl's. So if u got the guts, take a job and de-lvl to 3, repeat.

I agree with the idea, but not the delivery. How you learn the game when you have a big site like this is to read read read - most of the pieces will fit together.

Yes thier common drops but then again think about after you saved up enough to do say 5 BCNM 40's would you even think of selling them?
and if the only people selling them did sell them cheap priced hell I could stop worrying about haveing to farm for my seals and could simply buy them.

If you could sell these, the price of the rare BCNM drops would go waaay down because people would be doing them nonstop. Good news for ninjas and white mages, bad news for BCNMers everywhere.

At high levels it becomes impossible to solo xp fights for seals but I find leveling lots of low level jobs I don't care about boring so I duo with a friend. Usually this friend is someone I plan to do the BCNM battle with so all seals will go to my goal. We then go somewhere we can get 7-12xp kills. We are getting xp so we get lots of seal drops. but we are barely getting xp so with the two of us the battles are fairly quick and easy. Just an alternative strategy for others to consider. 
One way to get several of these is to take a low level melee character and fight in Zeruhn Mines. I use mithkabobs and only fight bats. With a signet on, you will get bat wings, wind crystals, zeruhn soot, and beastman's seals fairly regularly. I got over 20 seals taking my monk from 1-8, as well as a decent chunk of gil off the other drops, while never buying any weapons or armor. This can only be done so many times, unless you suicide and de-level. To drop a full level takes 10 deaths. If you can find a place to set your homepoint that is hostile and you can escape fairly easily, this can be done quickly.

they apparently drop like crystals: only from mobs that give you xp, but they can drop whether the region is under beastmen's ontrol or not.
my question: is it possible that they'd actually drop more often when the beastmen control the region you are fighting in ?

You stack them like any other item gets stacked. Whether they're in your storage or your inventory, you merely use the 'sort' menu on the right side of the screen when either is open. Choose 'Automatic' and click 'Yes.'
They keyboard shortcut sequence for this is:
open inventory-change focus-select 'auto'-select 'yes'
The actual keys you press depends on how you have your keyboard laid out. I use compact, so for me it's '-' -> Select Items -> 'f' -> Select 'Auto' -> Select 'yes'

I have a lot of these but don't know how to stack 'em. How do you do that?

These are dropped by every mob its just a random ovccurance of drops, ive had them dropped by savanna rarabs, crawlers, weapons, etc.
Also, about the quest when u finish it you get a choice of 3 treasure chests, in 1 of them is a rare item, and in the other 2 are mimics that will kill you since you were just in a big battle

I have tons of seals, and I need them to get Phalanx. Question is, do all of the people I need to accompany ALSO need 40 seals to get an orb just to come along? If you don't get what you wanted in the Burning Circle fight, do you need to spend 40 more seals to get a new orb?
This would be a real problem, since apparently the spell doesn't drop all too often, and I wouldn't want everyone to have to keep using these just to get a spell for me.

In answer to the first part: no, only one person needs the seals to get the orb and join the fight.

These are used in juneo to trade for orbs in which you can trade to burning circles to fight the BCNM's the # of beastmen seals turned in is also the level cap on the fight. If you give 40 seals you are capped at lvl 40. These are very very very difficult fights and you cannot have an alliance 6 people max. They do not give you treasure chests for artifact armor that guy is wrong! AF armor is done from quests try reading the lists of quests on this very website sir. However, what you get is a lot of RARE drops (these drops are not guarenteed but highly likely) The drops are randon but I know from the lvl 40 monster you can get scrolls or erase, refresh, phalanex, you can get your waist RSE, peridots, and quite a bit more. What drops is random but I do know you have a better chance of certain items if you trade the orb to certain circles.

Posted: Dec 15 2003 at 9:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i know exactly what to do with it. here is the thing: go to jueno and u see a man by the airship entrance, he tells u about a monster being trapped in the orb. the monster apparently has a treasure when u beat me. u can trade 40 for a star orb, 50 for a comet orb, 60 for a moon orb. i thought the 60 moon orb would be a good monster that would drop a rare item. it seems like the monster in the orb is lvl 60+, because if u activate it, it will reduce your lvl to 60. basically u trade the seals to the guy and u get an orb. i suppose the 40 seal star orb is a lvl 40 monster. u can throw the orb in that burning circle in palborough mines in north gustaberg. this is a fact. i've been there and seen it. im not sure if you can do anything else with it... again, im just presenting the facts.
I got 2 stacks of 99 of them ... I got no clue.. But i have heard more than once they they open chests... never saw a chest though... and they are indeed to open Notorious Boss fights
