I killed Strolling Sapplings and got 6 treant bulbs 4 Vegtable seeds and 4 grains seeds. This was in Konchatt for about an hour. Last i seen Herb Seeds was in Tahrongi. You should visit Pikkos Pots page.
It's an excellent Gardening page.

I want to make fire crystals with Herb seeds so I could have an income to support other stuff (Equiptment,Chocobo Digging, Crafting, etc...)

brass pot+herb seeds+water crystal=18 Fire crystals
Check out Pikko's site for details.

Strolling Saplings drop every kind of seed(except tree cuttings, saplings, and cactus stems). Howeer, I have noticed that the kind of seed they drop depends on which zone or area of the world they are in. For instance, in Tahrongi Canyon, Strolling saplings almost always drop herb seeds when they drop seeds. In La Thiene Plateau, they almost always drop grain seeds. I'm not sure which part of the world they drop vegetable or fruit seeds. Maytbe someon else can post that. I hope this helps seed hunters, at least for herb seeds and grain seeds.

fruit seeds can be obtained by harvesting or logging. i have never seen it dropped off a mob in all my years of playing. although i have obtained it by logging on buburimu peninsula.

Thank you so much. Ive been dying to know where Fruit seeds drop. And by the way, Vegetable seeds drop on both sides of the world about every 1/10 times or so. In Bastok, where they drop grain seeds, once in a blue moon they will drop vegetable seeds. Same in Tahrongi Conyon. Thanks Again ecator.

I've been farming Strolling Saplings around the Crag of Dem in the Highlands but not found *any* herb seeds on these. I'm a THF15 with Treasure Hunter. Anyone know if I'm just unlucky, or whether I'm in the wrong area, etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You're just unlucky. I was just soloing Strolling Saplings in Konschtat as a Mnk/Thf (11/5 at the time) and got one of these. However, this *is* the first time I've seen them.

The higher lvl the zone the higher the drop rate. The best way to think of it would be a scale of the mob level and the items they drop. This appears to have been done to give higher lvl ppls the ability to make more gil (lets face it, the higher you are, the more gil you need) and to keep them from killing the lower lvl mobs that the lower lvl ppl need to kill to make gil and/or lvl.

The best places to farm seeds in my experience has been Batalia, Taroughi (sp), Jugner, and crawlers nest... Unfortunately, I have not seen any saplings in sarumonge and rolanberry, but I haven't looked too much, and well, everyone *knows* that they can get tree cuttings in Rolanberry (good luck) from the goobbues.

Does anyone know where you can buy herb seeds?! Don't tell me you can't buy them, because I know otherwise. If you do not want to make it public, then atleast e-mail it to me at Jonathanthestampede@excite.com

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Auction House. No vendors sell them, not in Windurst at least. The can be obtained by Harvesting or by killing strolling saplings. You could probably steal them too.

Saplings sometimes drops these seeds. Sells pretty well, and cheap for those who want to garden. ;)
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 11 2003 at 7:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think you can probably plant these in a flower pot in your mog house that'll be my guess.
