I have recentlt started lvling a thf and i wanted to get marksmanship lvled for bloody bolts but i tried to buy theses and i couldnt use them for crossbow i had to use status bolts why is it i can use status bolts and not regular ones? if anyone can help me with this or tell me if there is a way to make recomendations to S-E to maybe patch this i would greatly appreciate it. =)
Okay to clear this up. There are two recipies that make level 1 bolts for your crossbow.
The first one is: Wind Crystal + Ash Lumber + Bronze Ingot = Bronze Bolt 33
The second one: Earth Crysal + Ash Lumber + Bronze Bolt Heads = Crossbow Bolts 33
Now these two types of Bolts have the same exact stats on them so which recipie you choose to go with is up to you. At the moment I'm am going with the Crossbow Bolt recipie because I'm also making the bolt heads (Wind Crystal + Bronze Ingot) which is slightly more expensive (1 Earth Crystal) but levels up my smithing skill while I'm at it.
It's slightly more expensive to make the bronze ingot into bolt heads if you're only looking to make the bolts once. But making bolt heads yields 6, which means that for one wind synthesis you reduce the number of bronze ingots you use by 5 and turn a need for 6 wind crystals into one for 6 earth crystals (which tend to be cheaper.)
Not sure about woodworking but this formula does not make crossbow bolts in smithing it makes bronze bolt heads. Anyone know what bronze bolt heads make?
"Lvl 1 WAR/DRK/RNG" I think SE is trying to say low level THFs should be able to farm, out of pure malice towards their customers.
