Is it easy to HQ this with high enough level caps? cause ppl are saying they'll looking for leathercrafters and saying they'll supply the supplies for two HQs 0.0

Cloth - 35 [ b/c of wool thread ]
Smithing - 55 [ b/c of Darksteel sheets ]
These are safe estimates - I've seen posts where Smithers in the 48's and cloth in the low 30's making these. If you want to gurantee a HQ you'll prob need: [ 10-20+ of that craft to yield more hqs ]

Wow, you estimate the Smithing cap at 55? Assuming you wear the smithing gear that's only a possible +7 over the cap, which is like a 1% HQ rate. bad news.

Because people who buy gil have less price sense, and are very willing to bid high. If you bought 3 million gil, would you necessarily care if you paid 30k more than the last person on a 800k item? This makes an even bigger effect on a HQ like this, because if there is generally only 0-1 item for sale, the price is usually based on THE MOST PREVIOUS sale. If this sale is for 30k more than the last one, why not try putting yours up for 20-30k higher than that last one?
Also, on HQ's, the demand for this kind of item is always rising as more people are getting to higher levels. The supply, however, is not rising nearly as fast.

I am drooling so bad over this armor. Even if I had the 850k that it currently goes for on the Alexander server, there is none available.

it skips between 1 million to 500k a lot on asura..... wel if i had 1 million gil id get my craft up >.>then craft as many hq as i can

wow,1mil on my serever i cant believe its that cheap on ur surver >_< i will camp some other NM's and i'll get the gil in about 1 weeks time for this awsome armor ^^. but i just hope there will be one in the Jeuno AH ^^
I saved up the 600k for the pricetag this thing used to have(Fairy), I go to Jeuno, 1 for sale(yay!), bid and don't get it. Check the price... 850k. /sigh
I've got to believe that every darksday/new moon every high level leather crafter and his brother are trying to HQ these. I mean, the ingreedients for these things are only 35Kish and 1 in 14 HQ will still make you money assuming you sell the duds to an NPC, but on darksday new moon (or lightningsday/new moon) with a leather crafting skill in the 80's you'd be HQing at least 1 or 2 per stack. You might even get half HQing them if your leather craft was maxed out.

Just a quick follow up on my post. The price of these have jumped to 850k on my server! I glad I bought when I did. Currently there are none for sale, I am so tempted to put it up for auction. I was so happy when I got it, and I never even put it on. I can't sell it, or maybe I could?! AHHHHH!!!!!!

I broke my butt logging, mining, and farming to make the money for this several months ago. At the time - 400k. Going for around 600k now on Carbuncle, and I heard it's gone up recently. I'd sell it if I wasn't planning on using it for another job!
And yeah, this is awesome. Trust me, it's worth the hard work to save up money for something this expensive - that is, any gear that is pricey and highly sought like this - just to get those reactions from party members:
"You rich *******"
"OMG! You suck!"
I guess it's nice when people compliment you, or say "hey, that's really nice armor", but really the screams of anguish from the less fortunate make it all worth it.
Just imagine the horrible things they'd say to you if you had a scorpion harness +1!

Carbuncle server here too. Last I checked it was up around the 750-850k range. I picked up a run-of-the-mill version so I don't have to stop leveling, but I'm still farming/NM hunting for this...just can't pass up the extra bonuses. Just with DRK there's quite a bit of other things I need/will need more than this, unfortuantely (Haubergeon, anyone?). BTW if any of you see me running around, give me a shout!

Ask Huma, im pretty sure hes the only crafter on Garuda who can make anything. Iv seen him with 2 Hawker's+1 which he signed, and iv seen him craft a scorp harness+1. If ur looking for this and ur on Garuda, ask Huma

It's around 500-600k now. I'm trying to decide what to do with some hard earned BCNM funds... my DRG can always use more DEX. ^^;;

Last I checked it was going for 580,000 in Jeuno, probably two weeks ago.
