Call me crazy, but I heard somewhere this thing can be caught while fishing!<---- ?
I hear all the time from peeps on Ramuh server that it can be caught if your fishing skill is high enough, Im a little skeptical givin it's a +1 item and that's a crafting result. Let me know if any of you have heard this

WOW, around what? 500k for this? its got really simple craft, all you need is the crafting skill... to bad for me ><
ok heres my question for all you guys .. this armor is of course freakin awesome.. and i would more then anything love to have it.. but for the price 500k pretty steep for a rngr, plus i dont think personally that it is worth it for in 10lvls i get hunters jerkin AF gear.. so im wonderin .. do you guys think that its a good investment for me.. being all that i just said.. let me know

I really wanted this armor ever since I found out about it, and was ready to earn the 500k for it. One problem...right now it's up to 980k on Unicorn! I decided to get the regular Brigandine instead.
i currently stopped leveling to farm the gil so I can buy this armor. Last one sold for 700kish on my server and there was one in the AH last time i checked. I'm up to 400k and climbing.

Here's a story for you guys.
This armor took me about 5 nights of (good) mining for the blunt of the cost, and then a *lot* of agressive clearing of my personal items (I went without rings for awhile). I consider myself pretty impatient, so this was the first hurdle I had to overcome, and it was tough.
Well wouldn't you know...as always, I march into Jeuno with more Gil than I've ever had before (550k, that's a lot for me, okay?), and...
...there were none available.
And of course just to rub it in, one was bought earlier that day, or something to that effect. Cool, huh? The same damn thing happened when I committed myself to buying the 100k Grand Knight's Lance. I hope none of you guys experience this, it's pretty painful.
Well it didn't help that by the time another one surfaced in the auction house, I couldn't even buy it for 600k (The Price History showed 550k, I believe). I had to get extra Gil from a friend...which is something I'd rather not ever do. But I think my friend understood how furious I was at the time, you know?
So anyway, I hope you guys don't have to go through an emotional roller coaster for this armor. It's not the greatest thing ever, but in my opinion, well worth slaving in Gusgen all night for (repeatedly). I still can't believe my patience held for so long...call me stubborn, eh?
I'm now putting it to good use. ^^

hmm with 500-700k i think i could get leathercraft high enough to craft it and hope for a HQ synth ^^

But keep in ming it costs a lot for the raw materials, and would probably take months to mine the materials/farm the materials on your own. In the end though I guess you woul dhave a really high Leather craft.

No to HQ synth this you would need to be probably 30+ over the trivial to be able to HQ it often enough which would mean lv99 LeatherCraft which would take (alot)more time then to just farm the 500k and buy it yourself lol >_>;

I have around 10-20k and this armor looks pretty cool. If anyone knows how to make this armor please tell me, ill farm all the items for you and even give you a full 1k tip for your time^^. Please dont all answer all at once.

This will last a THF well into the 60's, it's much, much better than the rogue's vest (but then most of the THF AF sucks in a party to begin with)

No way the thf's af gear is way better .. well it might be a bit more then the rogue's vest but I still would rather it..and all the others are kool too,with + in flee steal and hide..& droll over the plus DEX [Gold][/Gold]

The one bad thing about this armor aside from it's .5 mill. price on bahamut, is that it's hard to come by. i'm almost to the level where i could use it yet i've only seen it up at the jeuno AH about a week or two ago. oh well, guess that just gives me more time to farm the 380 k i now need. from the looks of the stats this armor is definitely worth the time and money, until i get my body AF armor.

I'll just toss the recipe over here too incase people dont look at the other one. My guess is you need ~60 in each craft to make. Maybe less perhaps a 40 in each and 60 in leather (judging by other ingredients lvl's) cause wool thread is around 35 and darksteel is around 40. But thats just my observation.

This armour costs 500k on Odin for all those that want to know. It might take me a bit of farming but it is SWEET. Might last me till my AF2 :) . I wonder if I would even want this after my AF2. Probably keep it to lvl other stuff. LOL.

There is no other word for this armour. It gives + stats for all and therefore all classes that can use this should. :) Unless you want to specialise in something else more of course. THe only armour I have seen to this lvl with CHR+ . I am sooo gonna get this!

Hey, can this be made? I want to know what level of what craft skill you need to be to make a +1, because I don't know any other way you could obtain it. If someone know's how to craft this, or get the +1 froma quest, or a mission, something, please post the answer! thank you ^+^

I just posted a potential recipe for this in the normal version of this armor (Brigandine Armor) thread. Possible reasons for my recipe not being valid: Bad information from website (unlikely) Bad translation (much more likely). But hey I tried...
they had 3 necessary skills listed but only one of them had a value... leathercraft 59 ... on the bright side 59 was in the capped slot so thats where this recipe no longer gives leathercraft skill... on the downside that means if you want a +1 version you either have to do it hundreds of times, get lucky, or have a leathercraft skill of around 80 (both full and new moon help for getting +1 items).

Well that's what I thought. However, after extensive searching, NO ONE know's how to make this. Therefore, WHAT THE F*CK!!!??? Someone must know!!! This item didn't just pop up out of nowhere magically! Lol, post the craft lvls, and the items to make it if you know please! ^_^
--; Of course it can. All things that have a +1 mean they are synthized. Almost all things rare flagged are drops though. (The exceptions being stuff like Reraiser's, Hi-reraiser's, etc. Most rare flagged items are drops.)

This is THE armor for thieves untill lvl 60. It costs 600,000 gil, but it lasts you a long time and you can always sell it for the same price later.

Its 2 million in Bahamut now, good thing for me is that i have a friend who is lvl 90 leather, 60 smithing, 60 cloth, so im hoping she can get that +1 i need for my bst. Ill tell u all if she is able to get it done at that lvl of craftsmanship.
