Neckchopper  

for tanking, do you think it'd be better to start farming for this now (@17) or just use an axe+sheild from 20-30?

So, this was the first NM I've ever decided to camp. Its early in the day, around 11:30 and most people are working or at school. Classes are done for the day for me so I jump on it.

After about an hour and a half, I decide to start running between camps since I was the only one there (33 DRG/WAR.) He popped and I got him with no links luckily, used a Meat Jerky and bashed him down. Had about 150 TP before the fight started and I was able to finish it with about half health remaining I think. A few Beetles linked when he used Hi-Freq but nothing dangerous.

Oh, and it dropped! As well as a Beetle Jaw!

For Godsake someone submit a captured image of anybody else other then a Taru Taru wielding this. It completely shows disrespect for this Awesome Weapon. LOL

It cost me 200K on carbuncle server, but everything costs so much here, great axe tho.

For a new WAR this GAXE is a pipe dream that we will never achieve.

The biggest problem is there no GAXES between 20-30 that don't force you to go out and buy gil from the net to actually receive. Seems like the game is setup that you use AXE between 20-30, after 30+ GAXES are actually available again.

Panzer rarely pops, and drops neckchopper about 1/30 which makes camping a waste of time unless you're levelling your 4th to 5th job and are not pushed about waiting around.

I'm a L20 WAR and 80,000+ gil (Shiva) is way out of my price league, and one comes up for sale once every 6 months (who would want to sell one?).

Seems like the best out there but almost impossible to get for any new people to the game.

I was leveling my beastmaster(23) last night and it spawned right in front of me. It went through about 9 pets before I finally killed it. Got the drop and sold it for 100k in Jeuno on Garuda.

I got two spawns of Panzer Percival last night a half hour apart, but no drop. After another hour I noticed the two camp areas getting crowded and I logged off for tonight.

Early this morning (6:00 a.m.) there were about a dozen ppl in Jugner Forest but I only saw one amongst the two camps. After about four round trips to both camps, I got Neckchopper in the north camp.

Now to send this to my War20/Thf10 character and watch the invites fly in <g>!

For some reason it's up to 150k on Quetzalcoatl as of Jan. 2006. I went out to camp it and get the drop for my WAR and had no competition.

I started camping Panzer when Neckchopper was only 25K, after 5 tries and many hours w/o pop I gave up.

Recently went to Jugner to get the Mycophile Cuff NM and went to check his pop spot. Saw him scampering against the wall and killed him easily as 59DRK. Got drop also, so I'm 1/1. Neckchopper went up to 150K.

Funny like yer mom's ugly...and that is hella funny!

Ok heres my story. Couldent get a pt so went to camp this at the northern most spawn point. I killed bettles whenever they popped. Within an hour and a half it poped and the Neckchopper droped. Lots of people we're at the other spawn. Went to the AH and saw it going for 70k on Bahamut. ^_^

Camped him for 2 hours and found him twice. So I guess the 30 minute estimate was about right.

I just walked between spawn points, clearing each point of PHs as I went.. I killed him easily as BLM43/THF15 both times, but got no drop. ;_;

I see these are selling for 80-90K a pop on my server (paid 50k for one a month and a half ago).
If you can get the money together its still a bargan at twice the price. I used this as my only weapon for my warrior from lvl 20 right through to 34, not because I coudn't afford another one (bougth a plantbane, and Voulge at there respective levels, sold them back a couple of days later) but because it beat both of them hands down. +5 accuracy is an amazing thing, and beats out +12 dammage every time.

the ACC would be nice, unfortunatly i couldnt get enought gil when in Qufim b/c beastmen control and then just bought the plant bane

I really want this axe, but Percy just wont drop it....


Sells for 60k in Jeuno on Pheonix Server, but i want to use it for myself first.

If I ever get one that is ^^

50k on Ifrit, the price went up 20 k in 1 month, only like 3 sold though realy rare drop i guess

I'm switching from GS to Gaxe and would like one of these if anyone is selling one on midgard please give me an asking price and 'll farm for it.

Above all axes this axe is hella worth it. The acc+5 IS GREAT. I rather pay the 30k for it then to camp the NM for 6 hrs. hell if u camp so long go mining for about 3 hr and get gold easy way to make gil. but who ever says its not worth it are probly just GS or SS kinda people. But for DD u know that Neckchopper is the way to go

Anyone using this a DRK? The +5 ACC would be nice...

Do any of you know if this NM is a lotto pop or if it has a set spawning time?

Got mine for 26k on Phoenix. It's like wearing a Sniper's Ring. ^^
