I love taru rse. Since tarus already have oodles of mp have some extra hp gear is never bad. If you don't like it for partying then you can't go wrong wearing it for farming especially if your a mage. Plus with the storage npc's you don't need to keep it cluttering you mog anymore. :)

I noticed a bunch of people commenting on how bad taru RSE is and how much better Elvaan's have it... not entirely true. RSE in itself is made to make up for a races shortcomings. Thus Tarus get Str and HP while Elvaan get more magic oriented stats. RSE Gear is good if you are a job your race wasnt "made" for. Lucky me. (taru thf aspiring to be drk)

the reason that taru rse adds hp vit mnd and str is because those are the lowest stats on taru >.>
if you want to have rse that adds mp be an elvaan and have low mp until you get to 33 unless your a gil buying fool lol

in my opinion this gear is great now my rdm has the same mp as hp ^_^ convert doesnt waste anything

this would be absolutely perfect for monk right? mnd for chi blast....vit for chakra...and str for...well...attks!! the def really doesnt matter since monks cant tank after 30 and the stats on all of the taru rse pieces that ive seen so far would be perfect for a taru mnk. please give any suggestions because i am going to get these pieces for my monk and if i take any melee jobs past 30...

Am I the only one who's just a little disappointed that Taru RSE isn't half as wearable as let's say... Elvaan? I mean, don't get me wrong... looking like a little Tarutaru christmas present in these fine threads is great, but their benefit is primarily for physical jobs, the jobs who would be helped the most with the STR, VIT, MND, and HP... this would be great for a paladin if it had DEFENSE, lol. Oh well. At least us taru aren't creepy, lanky sephiroth clones running around in skin-tight outfits.

I know you have to do the RSE quest on your Race/gender week, and that other races have seperate equipment for Male and Female. Can both Male and Female wear this? My husband already did the quest. Can I wear his equipment, or do I have to do the quest for myself?

If your husband has already done the quests and gotten all the RSE gear, then yes, you can wear it too. Taru is the only RSE that has 2 genders, but the gear itself is NOT gender specific.

Which, if you think about it, is both odd and quite unfair to Humes/Elvaan...

No, it's fair, humes and elvaan get better RSE.....

Taru RSE has stats most benefiting PLD, but then the defense is quite lacking. I'm a taru and I only use gloves and feet for whatever melee job I'm playing. This gear isn't as useful as the other RSEs (Mithra gets really good RSE).

Since I'm not primarly a thief I had to get my key first... What I did prior to it being TaruTaru M day in Gusgen, was to go in the dungeon with a Galka war/thf friend and get a key to drop... Then when it was my day to find a chest and unlock it, all I needed to do was to hunt down a chest and pop it open. (also had a key for Maze)

I wasn't planning on getting all 4 pieces in the same day(I've gone this long so far with out it!)

What I will now do, is replace the key with a new one and wait for TaruTaru to come up again in a couple of days and hopefuly get my next piece!

Good luck to all attempting to get their RSE!

Ok let's explain this fast. All RSE are obtained from the goblin but B4 anyone tries to go and get this RSE stuff you need a certain amt of fame in each town. I'm not sure of exact amt of fame but you need it or the gob won't talk to you. After that you go to the respective places to find the chest and finally IF you find the chest bring him back contents for your RSE. :) Your welcome

how is this obtained?
RE: hmm
# Dec 29 2003 at 1:33 AM Rating: Default
It's obtained by doing the "goblin Tailor" quest in jeuno.

and this, along with all the other "Wonder" equipment, are for Tarutaru only

The Goblin Tailor is in the back part of the Goblin Item Shop in Lower Jeuno. He is the first Gobbie you see when you open the very back doors of the shop.
