IMO the body piece is useless, the other 3 pieces are very good though. I was thinking of buying my RSE but seeing as they were 400k a piece I decided to check when elvaan week was. Luckily for me it was right that moment ^^. This is super easy if you are a thf because you don't have to waste time on getting the keys. I got the legs, boots and gloves in just over an hour.

repeatable
# Oct 17 2004 at 10:05 PM Rating: Decent
is this quest repeatable? as in can you recieve the same piece of equipment more than once, or is it once you get the armor you can't get it from quest again? replies would be nice.. thanks!
RE: repeatable
# Nov 21 2004 at 7:44 AM Rating: Decent
You can get each piece once, but as soon as you get one that option is closed to you for which item you want him to make.

Im pretty sure the Quest is repeatable so u r able to get the whole set, hands body, etc. The mission's pretty easy too.

I love this RSE, i got the whole set in the caves, it was not that hard, just time consuming, but less then it would have taken me to get the 250k that it would sell for on Odin~
Money?

On the Phoenix Server, it could easily cost you 200K for the entire set. You might want to ask around for estimates on other servers.

This multiple-section quest is not impossibly difficult, just incredbily time consuming. Each week lasts about 7 1/2 earth hours and takes place in one of three zones: Shakrami Maze, Ordelle's Caves, and Gusgen Mines. I'd have to say that the hardest area is Gusgen because of the chance that you'll get locked in an area where there are several high level mobs.

To get a key, simply kill most any high level mob until it drops it. The key is a very rare drop so I would advise bringing along someone with the Treasure Hunter THF trait. When you find the key, you'll then need to find a Treasure Chest located somewhere in the zone. The chest spawns in several random points in the zone so keep your eyes peeled. If someone gets to the chest before you, don't sweat it. If they were also completing the RSE quest, then the chest will spawn within a matter of minutes or even less than that. However, if someone was feeling incredibly petty and opened it using some other method or opened it with the key for some other reason than RSE gear, than it may take up to half an hour to have the chest respawn. The easiest way to find it is to simply run around the zone pressing tab.

Once you find the chest, you must TRADE the key to the chest to have it open. Once you get the Magical Pattern, return to Jeuno and talk to Guttrix to recieve your reward. You'll get to select one piece of RSE gear out of a total of four. Once you're finished, it's a simple matter of repeating the entire process all over again until you get all four pieces. Smiley: bah

As a side note, if you have a pattern when the time for your race and gender is over you can still trade it in for a piece of gear.

Hope that helps. Smiley: grin

I've found Gusgen Mines to be the easiest. I did it as 35WAR/PLD with help from and LS buddy, 35RDM/THF. The chests are easy to find in Gudgen, only problem mobs are Banshees. Sneak is your best friend. Try fighting Wights and wroms for the key.

just finished the quest for the magna RSE, excellent equipment especially if youre a DRK ^^. I think ill choose the gloves or hose first though. Quest isnt difficult, definitely not worth 40k, the equipment is, but all you have to do is ask an LS member or High lvl in your assigned dungeon to kill tons of mobs that drop the chest key. Once you get the key, buy a stack of silent oils, one or two prism powders, and search for the chest. Not too bad at all.
looks best

this has nothing to do with the quest, but the elvaan RSE looks the best out of all of'em

This armor can only be equipped by finishing the Gobbie RSE quest in Jeuno and it's your week to do it - the entire quest for each piece is long and hard which is why i didn't do it....I just spent 30k at |San d'Oria| and bought it...along with my LEVEL 40 Dark Mythril Scythe *Drool*
