So I bought and registered the FFXI Ultimate Collection: Abyssea Edition and I can't get this item from the Festive Moogle. What gives?

So I bought a pc version of the game so I can play it away from home (normally play on ps2).....Can I use the code for this on my old character or does it have to be used on a new account?

Nevermind, figured it out.

So it turns out that this equipment can also be used as an Item, so after awhile I used it when I realized...turns out it turns you into an egg.

If you use it as an item it turns you into an egg, then once you cancel the egg it turns you into a chocobo, this is where the movement speed increase comes from. You can use it out in the field, however it does not make you immune to arggo.
Does it disappear after using it as an item?
